Week in reviewWe celebrated our last bit of fall before the holidays arrive learning with Scarecrows! We used the books “The Scarecrow’s Hat” and “There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed Some Leaves” to practice sequencing events in a story. One of our favorite scarecrow books was “The Little Old Lady Who Wasn’t Afraid of Anything”. To go along with the book we used math and word families to build and color our own version of the scarecrow in the story. We also compared and contrasted two versions of “The Little Old Lady” to review similarities and differences. On Election Day we held our own mock election where each student had a chance to vote on what cookie they’d like for desert. Chocolate chip won! In Math, we continued to work through Chapter 3. We are currently learning how to use tens frames to help us add.
