Week in reviewWe started our week learning about Christopher Columbus and why we celebrate a day for him. On Wednesday, we learned all about fire safety and even got to see a real fire truck and firemen dressed in their gear. Throughout the rest of the week we completed lots of fun leaf activities including writing about the way leaves look in the fall. We know that leaves changing color is a sign for the season of fall, as well as differentiating what season it is and things that happen during each. During Phonics, we focused on the sound “ch”. We practiced listening for the different sounds in “sh”, “th”, and “ch” by sorting pictures beginning with each chunk. We were also introduced to the –et word family and syllables. In Math, we started working on subtraction and how to take from a group to find the difference.
