VILLAGE OF GLEN ELLYN

The Village of Glen Ellyn is in the early design phase ofimprovements to the downtown streetscape and utilities. The lastmajor widespread Central Business District rehabilitation projectwas completed in the mid-1980's.

Through the streetscape project, the Village is looking to addressthe roadway, sidewalk, underground utility needs and ADAcompliance issues throughout downtown. Specific streetbeautification improvements will include various streetscapecomponents such as street lights, bike racks, benches, trees andtree grates, signage, and sidewalk decorative features, amongothers. The project will also seek to address and prioritize items likebike parking, sidewalk cafes, tree locations and public art.

The Village is continuing to gather input through the project's website, www.downtownge.com.Residents, businesses and visitors can gather more information on the project and explore pastand current ideas, plus share your own.
