SENIOR PARENT NIGHT: Preparing for College

This will be a presentation for seniors and their parents that will help families better understand the college application process and the resources available at Rauner College Prep. Topics will include: college selection process, the application timeline and financial aid. Cafeteria (English-speaking session); Band Room (Spanish-speaking session)

PARENT ADVISORY COUNCIL (PAC) MEETING

Rauner is proud to announce that we are working to start our Parent Advisory Council again this year. We need YOU to join us as we partner with our parents, families, and the community. Initial PAC meeting will be held Tuesday, September 23rd at 6PM. Please join us as we plan for a great year! We cant do this without you. All students will earn extra credit in advisory for parent attendance to our FIRST PAC MEETING.

LOITERING

Arrival & dismissal times must be orderly in an effort to keep all students safe. Please remind your child that he/she will earn 2 demerits for loitering in the neighborhood before & after school.

#CHARACTERMATTERSAs you know, our focus at Rauner College Prep is to prepare our scholars to be COLLEGE READY & to demonstrate great CHARACTER. You always ask your child about demerits earned (for a violation of the SCC) but have you asked your child about the merits they have earned? This year at Rauner, we want to teach, model, & praise good character by giving students merits because CHARACTER MATTERS.

CUBS GAME

On Friday, students who have earned the most merits will be given a permission slip to join us on a field trip to a CUBS GAME, FREE OF CHARGE as a reward for starting off the year with great character. The Cubs Game for students will be Wednesday, September 17th at 7PM. More details will be on the permission slips. All slips are due to the main office by Tuesday, September 16th.

GYM SHIRTS

11th and 12th grade gym shirt are now available in the main office for purchase. Cost $5.

KIPP CHICAGO SCHOOLS ENROLLING 5TH GRADERS

KIPP Chicago schools is currently enrolling 5th graders at our middle schools in Austin, Englewood and North Lawndale. TERCERA NOCHE DE PADRES: Preparacin para la universidad

Esta ser una presentacin para las personas mayores y sus padres que ayudarn a las familias a entender mejor el proceso de solicitud de la universidad y de los recursos disponibles en Rauner College Prep. Los temas incluyen: proceso de seleccin universitaria, la lnea de tiempo de aplicacin y la ayuda financiera. Cafetera (sesin en ingls); Clase de banda (sesin en espaol).

CONSEJO CONSULTIVO DE PADRES (PAC) REUNIN Rauner se enorgullece en anunciar que estamos trabajando para empezar nuestro Consejo Asesor de Padres de nuevo este ao. Necesitamos que te unas a nosotros como nos asociamos con nuestros padres, las familias y la comunidad. Reunin inicial PAC se realizar el martes 23 de septiembre a 6:00 PM. Por favor, nase a nosotros planeamos para un gran ao! No podemos hacer esto sin ti. Todos los estudiantes obtendrn crdito extra en asesoramiento para la asistencia de los padres a nuestra PRIMERA REUNIN PAC.

MERODEAR Llegada y despido veces deben ser ordenada en un esfuerzo por mantener a todos los estudiantes a salvo. Por favor recuerde a su hijo que l / ella va a ganar 2 demritos para merodear en el barrio antes y despus de la escuela.

#CHARACTERMATTERS Como ustedes saben, nuestro enfoque en Rauner College Prep es preparar a nuestros estudiantes para ser preparados para la universidad y para demostrar un gran carcter. Siempre pregunte a su hijo acerca de demritos ganaron (para una violacin de la SCC), pero he pedido a su hijo acerca de los mritos que se han ganado? Este ao en Rauner, queremos ensear, modelo, y alabar el buen carcter dndole estudiantes mritos porque CARCTER IMPORTA.

JUEGO DE CUBSEl viernes, los estudiantes que han obtenido el mayor nmero de mritos se les dar un permiso para unirse a nosotros en un viaje de campo a un partido de los Cubs, LIBRE DE CARGO, como recompensa por comenzar el ao con un gran carcter. El juego de los Cachorros (CUBS) para los estudiantes ser el mircoles 17 de septiembre a 7:00 PM. Ms detalles estarn en las boletas de permiso. Todos los recibos se deben a la oficina principal de Martes, 16 de septiembre.

CAMISETAS DE GIMNASIO Camisetas de gimnasio para 11 y 12 grado estn disponibles en la oficina principal para su compra. Costo $ 5.
