The time is here and the Up with People Advance Team has arrived! The team is made up of Misa from Wisconsin, Brenda from Mexico and Marie from Belgium. They will be spending the next 5 weeks in Laconia preparing for the international cast of Up with People to arrive on September 1st. As promised, here is the first of a few ways you, your family, friends and neighbors can get involved in this cultural experience: Host an Up with People Cast Member…it’s simple and FUN! (Homes for 100 needed) Provide a place to sleep, breakfast and dinner and limited transportation in the morning and evening from September 1st to September 8th . You’ll receive 2 complimentary tickets to the show for hosting! Contact Misa at [email protected] or 608.606.9694 with questions or for more information. The 100-member cast is between the ages of 17 and 29 years old and represents 15 different countries. Cast members are out of the house during regular business hours, volunteering, rehearsing or taking part in educational workshops. Sunday ( September 7th) is a ‘host family day,’ you may choose to show them around your city, include them in a family event or simply relax at home.
