These values are displayed in all learning areas. We refer to them on a daily basis in a variety of ways. In this way, they help to create an excellent environment for all members of our community to work together, play together and achieve their best. Parent /Teacher meetings Our parent/ teacher meetings will take place in the week beginning 19 th February. Last week, in- formation on the online booking system, including an access code, was sent home with the news- letter. We look forward to families taking the opportunity to meet with their childs classroom teacher, to share information and discuss any concerns, goals and expectations for the year. It is very important that we work together to ensure all of our students have every opportunity to achieve their best. Commonwealth games Queens Baton Relay Next Tuesday, 13 th February, the Commonwealth Games Queens Baton Relay will be coming to our school! This exciting event will take place at approximately 1:20pm for several minutes. Our four School Captains will have the opportunity to say a few words in their first official function on this day. Parents are invited to join us for this exciting event. While there is likely to be media present, and we will take photographs for use at school, we have been explicitly told that upload- ing photos of the relay onto social media is prohibited. This aligns with our Photography and filming policy, and it is a timely reminder - it states that parents may not upload photos or film of children, other than their own, onto social media. Thanks for your support in this matter. Defibrillator Today at assembly, we welcomed Karen Young, representing the Ballarat branch of the Bendigo Bank. The Bendigo Bank was able to donate $1000 to the school towards the cost of a defibrilla- tor. Our defibrillator has arrived and will be placed in a central area in the school. All staff have received training in its use and while we hope it is never needed, we appreciate having the latest first aid equipment in our school.
