Once an old, rustic stone dairy, these ruins have been restored into a beautifulwood and stone chapel. Situated on a hill, the chapel looks onto the game reserve

and is often surrounded by antelope, zebra and wildebeest grazing the grassyplains. This provides spectacular views for guests to admire before and after

the service, as well as a stunning back drop for photographs.

The chapel seats up to 230 guests comfortably on wooden pews, with a raisedplatform in the front where the bride and groom stand for the service. The

interior allows guests to absorb the natural and rustic feel of the chapel andenjoy the natural beauty all around.

The Oribi hall is situated, overlooking a small dam and a spectacular view of thegame reserve. Bamboo ceilings and wooden windows and doorways provide a natural,

rustic look, while large dimming chandeliers create a warm ambiance in theevenings. The hall is the perfect venue for a day or night reception. This venue

must really be seen to be appreciated.

The hall is equipped to seat 300 guests but we provide versatile draped curtains,which can be used to reduce the size of the hall for any number of guests.

Outside the hall, a wooden deck overlooking the dam provides the perfect spot forguests to enjoy snacks and drinks, while the bridal party has photographs.

The game reserve provides a wide variety of beautiful settings for bridal partyphotos to be taken after the service. Rolling hills and landscapes provide a

natural backdrop for photos, while old ruins provide a unique picturesque settingfor romantic photos to be taken of the bride and groom. The cliffs of Oribi

Gorge, and the suspension bridge and lookout points, provide breath takingviews of the Oribi Gorge.

While photographs are being taken of the bridal party, the wedding quests arewelcome to take a drive around the game reserve free of charge.

Lake Eland Game Reserve can provide the following accommodation for your guests:- Self catering chalets, which sleep 2 people, 5 or 6 people per chalet- Family home, which sleeps 6 people and Park Home sleeps 8 people- Double Rooms, which sleep 2 people per room- Camping and Caravanning sites

Our wedding package consists of an all inclusive rate of:R490.00 per person for 2019 (R550pp for 2020).

This price INCLUDES the following:- The Menu- we have a suggested Buffet Menu selection which is included in

the cost. However, you may add to or change the menu as you wish and a price will be quoted for the ‘extras’.

- Wedding Venue Hire & use of Chapel- Fairy lights included- Round tables & white tablecloths- seating 8 to 10 people per table- Chairs & white chair covers- Cutlery, crockery and glassware.- Bar facilities- Fully Licensed- Staffing such as Waiters & Barmen for service at the wedding- Manager to co-ordinate Wedding Function- We set up the tables with the table settings & glassware.

MINIMUM RATES 2019-2020Lake Eland Game Reserve has the following minimum rates, which areONLY applicable to smaller weddings:2019 SPECIAL: A minimum of 30 people may be booked, if booked 6 months or lessprior to the wedding date. Special only valid for 2019 weddings.2020 RATES: a) During March, April, May & December the minimum is R44,000

for smaller weddings, eg 80 people or less. Therefore the cost is the per person charge quoted above.b) During the rest of the year the minimum is R30,250 for smaller weddings eg 55 people or less. Therefore the cost is the per person charge quoted above.

Optional EXTRAS for HIRE- Draping - white draping can be arranged as per your requirements within the structural capabilities

- Silver under plates / Charger Plates- Red Carpet (for Chapel or Hall)- Amplifier & speakers (should you choose to have your own computer & music)

BAR FACILITIESLake Eland Game Reserve is a fully licensed establishment offering a well stocked bar.Being fully licensed there is a corkage charge for Wine and Champagne, but not spirits,beers etc are to be purchased from the bar. The bar closes at midnight (24h00).

SET UP OF THE VENUEWill take place the day before the wedding, on condition there is no otherfunction booked on that day.

DURATION OF THE WEDDINGThe wedding venue is booked from the start of your ceremony until midnight(24h00), which means the bar will be closed and the music needs to end.

PARKING & GATE ENTRANCEAmple secure parking is available for the wedding guests at no charge. Theclient shall provide Lake Eland Game Reserve with a guest list within 7 daysof the wedding, in order for the wedding guests to gain free access into thegame reserve. Guests can alternatively present their wedding invitations atthe gate.

REMOVAL OF DECORAll décor not provided by Lake Eland Game Reserve must be removed by 11.00amthe following day. However, if there is no function booked in the venue forthe following day, the removal of decor may be discussed with management.
