Mutual Benefits & Support

The Surfer Kids are one of the highlights of every Unravel Surf Travel Tour of the Garden Route. A day of surfing-fun and interaction, with Tourist and The Surfer Kids, benefits both children and tourists in several ways. It also gives Unravel Surf Travel Tours a unique local flavour, which sets us apart from other operators. And it creates a source of funding for The Surfer Kids, in the form of donations from tourists who enjoy their time surfing with The Surfer Kids.

Unravel Surf Travel provides crucial logistical support. For the past four years The Surfer Kids have been almost exclusively reliant on Unravel Surf Travel for their transport, amongst many other things... However, this is a long term investment.

Through our Junior Assistant Agreement, our goal is to train the senior kids to assume more responsibility, properly. Eventually they will have to operate The Surfer Kids and make the programme their own. When that happens Unravel Surf Travel will look to recruit Surf Tour Assistants, and eventually Tour Leaders, through The Surfer Kids Programme.

“A Social Enterprise working for a better world”More and more people are awakening to the fact that something fundamental isn't quite right with the world, and hasn't been right for quite some time...

We believe it's an over exaggeration of Ego. An all pervasive selfishness. Me and mine only. A disconnect from nature and other people.

We also believe that the world is a reflection of the sum total of all our thoughts and beliefs.

Therefore, there is only one way to change the world. We must change ourselves.

However the solution lies not in renouncing the Ego, or in giving away everything that we have. Instead we must expand our sense of self and simply share what we have. As far as we can afford to. Take care of oneself, so as to take care of others.

The balancing of opposites.

This Social Enterprise is exactly that. And we hope that it will serve as one of many working examples in changing the world, for the benefit of all.
