The writer of Text 1 has a positive attitude to the film; the tone is admiring/approving .This is enhanced through words/phrases such as “stunning visuals”; exquisite”; “shimmering”. These descriptive phrases all have connotations of great beauty which enhance the complimentary tone. (P.E.E.) (2/4)

In Text 2 the writer has a less admiring attitude and at times has a critical tone as can be seen in words such as “ exasperating” and the phrase “a shallow and self-important shaggy-dog of a story”. Both these ideas enhance dissatisfaction and self-aggrandizement.

However, when speaking about the digital work, the tone is admiring and therefore similar to the writer of Text 1. This is conveyed in the adjectives “brilliant” and “stunning” (2/4)
