Mr 2:1 And when He had come back to Capernaum several days afterward, it was heard that He was at home.2 And many were gathered together, so that there was no longer room, even near the door; and He was speaking the word to them.3 And they *came, bringing to Him a paralytic, carried by four men.4 And being unable to get to Him because of the crowd, they removed the roof above Him; and when they had dug an opening, they let down the pallet on which the paralytic was lying.5 And Jesus seeing their faith *said to the paralytic, "My son, your sins are forgiven."6 But there were some of the scribes sitting there and reasoning in their hearts,7 "Why does this man speak that way? He is blaspheming; who can forgive sins but God alone?"8 And immediately Jesus, aware in His spirit that they were reasoning that way within themselves, *said to them, "Why are you reasoning about these things in your hearts?9 "Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, 'Your sins are forgiven'; or to say, 'Arise, and take up your pallet and walk'?10 "But in order that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins" --He *said to the paralytic--11 "I say to you, rise, take up your pallet and go home."12 And he rose and immediately took up the pallet and went out in the sight of all; so that they were all amazed and were glorifying God, saying, "We have never seen anything like this.“

Ge 22:12 And he said, "Do not stretch out your hand against the lad, and do nothing to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me.“

Jas 2:18 But someone may [well] say, "You have faith, and I have works; show me your faith without the works, and I will show you my faith by my works."19 You believe that God is one. You do well; the demons also believe, and shudder.20 But are you willing to recognize, you foolish fellow, that faith without works is useless?21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he offered up Isaac his son on the altar?22 You see that faith was working with his works, and as a result of the works, faith was perfected;23 and the Scripture was fulfilled which says, "AND ABRAHAM BELIEVED GOD, AND IT WAS RECKONED TO HIM AS RIGHTEOUSNESS," and he was called the friend of God.24 You see that a man is justified by works, and not by faith alone.

Ps 103:3 Who pardons all your iniquities; Who heals all your diseases;

Isa 43:25 "I, even I, am the one who wipes out your transgressions for My own sake; And I will not remember your sins.

Ex 34:6 Then the LORD passed by in front of him and proclaimed, "The LORD, the LORD God, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness and truth;7 who keeps lovingkindness for thousands, who forgives iniquity, transgression and sin; yet He will by no means leave [the guilty] unpunished, visiting the iniquity of fathers on the children and on the grandchildren to the third and fourth generations."

Mr 2:13 And He went out again by the seashore; and all the multitude were coming to Him, and He was teaching them.14 And as He passed by, He saw Levi the [son] of Alphaeus sitting in the tax office, and He *said to him, "Follow Me!" And he rose and followed Him.15 And it came about that He was reclining [at the table] in his house, and many tax-gatherers and sinners were dining with Jesus and His disciples; for there were many of them, and they were following Him.16 And when the scribes of the Pharisees saw that He was eating with the sinners and tax-gatherers, they [began] saying to His disciples, "Why is He eating and drinking with tax-gatherers and sinners?"17 And hearing this, Jesus *said to them, "[It is] not those who are healthy who need a physician, but those who are sick; I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners.“

Mt 9:9 And as Jesus passed on from there, He saw a man, called Matthew, sitting in the tax office; and He *said to him, "Follow Me!" And he rose, and followed Him.10 And it happened that as He was reclining [at the table] in the house, behold many tax-gatherers and sinners came and were dining with Jesus and His disciples.11 And when the Pharisees saw [this,] they said to His disciples, "Why is your Teacher eating with the tax-gatherers and sinners?"12 But when He heard this, He said, "[It is] not those who are healthy who need a physician, but those who are sick.13 "But go and learn what [this] means, 'I DESIRE COMPASSION, AND NOT SACRIFICE,' for I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners.“

Col 4:5 Conduct yourselves with wisdom toward outsiders, making the most of the opportunity.6 Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned, [as it were,] with salt, so that you may know how you should respond to each person.

Php 2:15 that you may prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world, 16 holding fast the word of life, so that in the day of Christ I may have cause to glory because I did not run in vain nor toil in vain.

Mr 2:18 And John's disciples and the Pharisees were fasting; and they *came and *said to Him, "Why do John's disciples and the disciples of the Pharisees fast, but Your disciples do not fast?"19 And Jesus said to them, "While the bridegroom is with them, the attendants of the bridegroom do not fast, do they? So long as they have the bridegroom with them, they cannot fast.20 "But the days will come when the bridegroom is taken away from them, and then they will fast in that day.21 "No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; otherwise the patch pulls away from it, the new from the old, and a worse tear results.22 "And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; otherwise the wine will burst the skins, and the wine is lost, and the skins [as well;] but [one puts] new wine into fresh wineskins.“

Joh 3:22 After these things Jesus and His disciples came into the land of Judea, and there He was spending time with them and baptizing.23 And John also was baptizing in Aenon near Salim, because there was much water there; and they were coming and were being baptized.24 For John had not yet been thrown into prison.25 There arose therefore a discussion on the part of John's disciples with a Jew about purification.26 And they came to John and said to him, "Rabbi, He who was with you beyond the Jordan, to whom you have borne witness, behold, He is baptizing, and all are coming to Him."27 John answered and said, "A man can receive nothing, unless it has been given him from heaven.28 "You yourselves bear me witness, that I said, 'I am not the Christ,' but, 'I have been sent before Him.'29 "He who has the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom's voice. And so this joy of mine has been made full.30 "He must increase, but I must decrease.

Mr 2:23 And it came about that He was passing through the grainfields on the Sabbath, and His disciples began to make their way along while picking the heads [of grain.]24 And the Pharisees were saying to Him, "See here, why are they doing what is not lawful on the Sabbath?"25 And He *said to them, "Have you never read what David did when he was in need and became hungry, he and his companions:26 how he entered the house of God in the time of Abiathar [the] high priest, and ate the consecrated bread, which is not lawful for [anyone] to eat except the priests, and he gave [it] also to those who were with him?"27 And He was saying to them, "The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath.28 "Consequently, the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath.“

Mt 12:1 At that time Jesus went on the Sabbath through the grainfields, and His disciples became hungry and began to pick the heads [of grain] and eat.2 But when the Pharisees saw it, they said to Him, "Behold, Your disciples do what is not lawful to do on a Sabbath."3 But He said to them, "Have you not read what David did, when he became hungry, he and his companions;4 how he entered the house of God, and they ate the consecrated bread, which was not lawful for him to eat, nor for those with him, but for the priests alone?5 "Or have you not read in the Law, that on the Sabbath the priests in the temple break the Sabbath, and are innocent?6 "But I say to you, that something greater than the temple is here.7 "But if you had known what this means, 'I DESIRE COMPASSION, AND NOT A SACRIFICE,' you would not have condemned the innocent.8 "For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath.“

Ex 20:9 "Six days you shall labor and do all your work,10 but the seventh day is a sabbath of the LORD your God; [in it] you shall not do any work, you or your son or your daughter, your male or your female servant or your cattle or your sojourner who stays with you.

Ex 31:15 'For six days work may be done, but on the seventh day there is a sabbath of complete rest, holy to the LORD; whoever does any work on the sabbath day shall surely be put to death.

De 23:25 "When you enter your neighbor's standing grain, then you may pluck the heads with your hand, but you shall not wield a sickle in your neighbor's standing grain.

1Sa 21:1 Then David came to Nob to Ahimelech the priest; and Ahimelech came trembling to meet David, and said to him, "Why are you alone and no one with you?"2 And David said to Ahimelech the priest, "The king has commissioned me with a matter, and has said to me, 'Let no one know anything about the matter on which I am sending you and with which I have commissioned you; and I have directed the young men to a certain place.'3 "Now therefore, what do you have on hand? Give me five loaves of bread, or whatever can be found."4 And the priest answered David and said, "There is no ordinary bread on hand, but there is consecrated bread; if only the young men have kept themselves from women."5 And David answered the priest and said to him, "Surely women have been kept from us as previously when I set out and the vessels of the young men were holy, though it was an ordinary journey; how much more then today will their vessels [be holy]?"6 So the priest gave him consecrated [bread]; for there was no bread there but the bread of the Presence which was removed from before the LORD, in order to put hot bread [in its place] when it was taken away.

Mt 12:5 "Or have you not read in the Law, that on the Sabbath the priests in the temple break the Sabbath, and are innocent?

Ex 35:2 "For six days work may be done, but on the seventh day you shall have a holy [day,] a sabbath of complete rest to the LORD; whoever does any work on it shall be put to death.3 "You shall not kindle a fire in any of your dwellings on the sabbath day.“

Ex 29:38 "Now this is what you shall offer on the altar: two one year old lambs each day, continuously.

Nu 28:9 'Then on the sabbath day two male lambs one year old without defect, and two-tenths [of an ephah] of fine flour mixed with oil as a grain offering, and its libation:10 ['This is] the burnt offering of every sabbath in addition to the continual burnt offering and its libation.

Mk 2:27 And He was saying to them, "The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath.28 "Consequently, the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath.“

Mal 3:1 "Behold, I am going to send My messenger, and he will clear the way before Me. And the Lord, whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple; and the messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight, behold, He is coming," says the LORD of hosts.

Heb 3:3 For He has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, by just so much as the builder of the house has more honor than the house.

Matt 12:7 "But if you had known what this means, 'I DESIRE COMPASSION, AND NOT A SACRIFICE,' you would not have condemned the innocent.

Ho 6:6 For I desire mercy and not sacrifice, And the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings. (NKJV)

Mr 12:28 And one of the scribes came and heard them arguing, and recognizing that He had answered them well, asked Him, "What commandment is the foremost of all?"29 Jesus answered, "The foremost is, 'HEAR, O ISRAEL! THE LORD OUR GOD IS ONE LORD;30 AND YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND, AND WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH.'31 "The second is this, 'YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.' There is no other commandment greater than these."32 And the scribe said to Him, "Right, Teacher, You have truly stated that HE IS ONE; AND THERE IS NO ONE ELSE BESIDES HIM;33 AND TO LOVE HIM WITH ALL THE HEART AND WITH ALL THE UNDERSTANDING AND WITH ALL THE STRENGTH, AND TO LOVE ONE'S NEIGHBOR AS HIMSELF, is much more than all burnt offerings and sacrifices."34 And when Jesus saw that he had answered intelligently, He said to him, "You are not far from the kingdom of God." And after that, no one would venture to ask Him any more questions.
