Landing Page • The landing page provides all roles with one point of access to topics relevant to their
daily work. These topics are grouped according to Lanes • Landing Page is based on SAP UI5 technology (HTML5) • Requires SAP NetWeaver Gateway (Basis) • Personalization: Lanes used and background image
Lanes • Associated information and activities by lanes of content. • Lanes include the following:
- Tasks, Processes, Actions, Analytics, Discussions − Ability to Search for Employees, Positions, Org Units − Favorites can added to Lanes for easy access e.g. Reports, Actions and Org Units. − Numbers in circles to indicate amounts at a glance e.g. Tasks, report results − Collaboration Lane using SAP Jam (new, replacing Streamwork)
• New UI5 applications: • A few of the applications have also been renovated: • These are ‘Leave Request’, ‘Employee Profile’, ‘Salary Statement’, ‘Organizational Chart’.

• Browser support is a key constraint for clients due to UI5 (HTML5) • Chrome, IE9+, Firefox
• The software is being changed and fixed regularly • Always load the latest support pack for EA_HR and for UI5
• Loading HR Renewal changes the EA_HR component to 6.07 • This causes confusion since Basis think it's EHP7
• Portal support is questionable at this time, current version supports NWBC • Don’t underestimate the amount of design effort in configuring the actions and in
designing how users, especially in MSS, will use the various services. • e.g. there is the Employee Profile in UI5 with the cards, but you may also use the Employee
Profile from HCM_MSS_WDA_2 • Use SAP_CORBU theme
• Some pages don't look right without this theme • Sometimes the photos do not show up properly in the org chart as the Photo URLs
expires • Report to reset the cache
• Some configuration doesn’t get captured in a transport • e.g. changing the catalogs, creating the Gateway OData alias
• Difficult to replace a standard SAP lane with a custom lane
