Tips for 2nd Grade Reading ComprehensionEXPOSITORY(non-fiction) text is important. Newspapers, Animals, weather, famous people, careers, etc. Have your students come up with a cause and the effect from the story. Ask them questions about what they read.Tell me in your own words what happened in the story. Give me an example of how the characters act. Describe what happens at the end of the story.
