University of Worcester, 24-28 September, 2018 “The first to officially partner with ICAA to bring Active Ageing Week to the UK” To celebrate active ageing, the University of Worcester is hosting a week of free activities open to members of the public. The University is the first to officially partner with the International Council on Active Ageing (ICAA) to bring the event to the UK. The event is open to older adults aged 60+ and anyone else interested in finding out more about active ageing. Activities include: public talks, workshops and physical activity taster sessions. See overleaf for the full timetable. Guest Speaker: Alex Rotas, a professional photographer challenging stereotypes about ageing through photography, speaking, writing. Alex’s talk “Growing old actively” is on Friday 28 September, 1.30pm at the University Arena. Photo competition: Submit a unique image, along with a short caption describing how the image reflects active ageing. Opportunity to win an Amazon voucher and signed copy of ‘Growing Old Competitively’ by Alex Rotas. Open to anyone 16 and over. Closing date for entries is 20 th September. “The first to officially partner with ICAA to bring Active Ageing Week to the UK”

To celebrate active ageing, the University of Worcester is hosting a week of free activities open to members of the public.
