The University of Luxembourg is a multilingual university with many programmes taught bilingually. Language courses in Luxembourgish, French, German and English are available for beginner to intermediate level students. Luxembourg is a small country with a big multicultural �air where you can meet people from all four corners of the earth. There is a vibrant nightlife in the bars of Hollerich, Grund and Clausen in Luxembourg City, or the Rockhal in Esch-sur-Alzette. From pop, rock and jazz concerts, theatre and dance performances to exhibitions at the MUDAM museum of modern art and classical music at the Philharmonie – there is plenty to do!

All this is set against the rich historic backdrop of Luxembourg City, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the country’s castles in the lush green landscapes of the north and its vineyards along the Moselle river in the south. The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg

The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg is a small country in Western Europe bordered by Belgium, France and Germany. Luxembourg is a representative democracy in the form of a constitutional monarchy, with Grand Duke Henri the current head of state. The country is the only sovereign grand duchy in the world. Around 47% of the country's 590,000 inhabitants are non-nationals, with the country home to people from more than 170 countries. Luxembourg covers an area of 2,586 square kilometres (998 square miles). It is a founding member of NATO and the EU, home to numerous European institutions and a leading international �nancial centre as well as a strong, open and innovative economy.

Luxembourg is a trilingual country, with Luxembourgish, French and German its of�cial languages. Most people also speak English but many more languages are routinely spoken in this cultural melting-pot.
