    The Jayhawk Golf Partners

  • Dear Jayhawk Golf Fans,

As we enter a new year in 2021, our country, our university, and our golf program are facing unprecedented challenges. COVID-19 has already canceled a promising spring season (2020) and altered the fall of 2020 as well. We hope for the best moving forward but recognize we all are in an environment in which we have very little control. That being said, I look back on my many opportunities to coach against the best programs in the country. They all have great players, great facilities and plenty of support. The tradition at the University of Kansas is no different. The generosity of so many Jayhawk faithful has allowed us to open a state-of-the-art indoor and outdoor practice facility where our players can develop year-round. We have been to four straight NCAA regionals and won the 2018 West Regional. We claim the 2019 US Open champion, Gary Woodland, as an alum and supporter. Even with all of this success, we have never had an organized group to help support the program. As we continue to grow the traditions and expectations of KU golf, we want all of our golf community to be a part of this team.

It is with great pleasure that I introduce the Jayhawk Golf Partners.

The Jayhawk Golf Partners is an organized booster club for the nationally ranked KU men’s golf program. The club is designed to accomplish three things: increase awareness, raise money, and most importantly, connect successful alumni and golf enthusiasts with members of the golf team. All money raised will go directly to facility maintenance, capital projects, travel flexibility and scholarship endowments. All funds earmarked through the Williams Fund for men’s golf will now give you benefits within the Jayhawk Golf Partners. Each level of giving will provide its own access, but all members will be invited to celebrate KU Golf at the annual Champions Dinner.

I recognize how many of you give and/or have given already to Kansas Athletics on an annual basis. For that, I thank you! This is a critical time in our program’s history. We are knocking on the door of sustained success. The Jayhawk Golf Partners will help provide KU Golf with the foundation of support required to compete at the elite level.

I hope you will join us in the pursuit of excellence.

    Sincerely,Jamie BermelHEAD COACH
