Journalism and Library Science and P.G. courses in U.G. colleges affiliated
to University of Calcutta other than Autonomous College with effect from
2019-2020 sessions.
Fees Structure of University Departments are included in this regulation.
Fees Structure of P.G. courses in U.G. colleges affiliated to C.U. will be
notified by the Colleges concerned.
Academic Year: 1st day of July of the Current Year to 30th June of the Next Year.

SECTION - 1General Eligibility (Hons. subject wise) & Abbreviation List
Applicant graduated with the Honours Subject (given here under in the Table) or its equivalent are eligible to apply foradmission to PG courses mentioned correspondingly to the Honours subject; only after fulfillment of other eligibilitycriteria mentioned in Section – 2 and 3. Before submission of Application Form, candidates must carefully go throughthe detailed eligibility criteria. A candidate is not eligible to apply for the course, if the qualification of the candidatesdoes not match with the detailed eligibility criteria

SECTION – 4
Procedure of ApplicationApplication through on-line only.
Before filling up Application Form please read the instruction carefully. In some cases a student may apply formore than one course, if eligible (mentioned in Section – 2 & 3). In such cases, the candidate must state his / herorder of preference. Candidate should take decision very carefully as to how many course(s) he / she is eligible toapply and how many course(s) he intends to apply. He / she should select the course(s)/college(s) in order ofpreference once at a time. Computer will automatically generate the required no. of Application Form(s), andthe amount of Application Fee to be deposited and the Receipt page.
SIGNIFICANCE OF ORDER OF PREFERENCEIn some cases a candidate may apply for more than one course with Order of Preference. Candidate shouldgive his order of preference carefully; it may not be changed later. During Selection process all the options ofcandidate with Higher Merit will be considered first then the options of the next higher merit candidates willbe considered. Once the candidate is selected in one option, all the lower options will be closed, only higheroptions if available, remains open for future chance. The preference 1 is higher option than preference 2 andso on. The candidate should select the course as preference 1 which he thinks the best one and he intends toget admission if he gets chance. Accordingly 2nd best course as preference 2 and so on.

ENTRANCE TEST AND HALL TICKET
1. Group wise Entrance Test for Non C.U. and C.U. applicants will be held as per schedule to be notified.2. Each Entrance Test will be of one hour duration except a few specifically mentioned. Full marks for eachEntrance Test will be of 100 marks except few specially mentioned. Number of questions in each test will beof 50 and each question should have four options of answers of which one will be correct answer. For eachcorrect answer scoring will be +2 marks and negative marking of -0.5 marks for each wrong answer and forno try there will be 0 marks.
DOWNLOAD e-Hall Ticket for Entrance Test
The e-Hall Ticket will not be sent to you via post or fax. Please download e-Hall Ticket and take printout from the website on prescribed time to be notified in
the Admission Schedule. Take a minute to check that all the information on the e-Hall Ticket is clearly legible, especially your
photograph and signature. No applicant will be permitted to appear for the test without a valid e-Hall Ticket. You must not deface the e-Hall Ticket, or attempt to change any information on it. The e-Hall Ticket is also not transferable to anyone else. Impersonation is a legally punishable offence. The e-Hall Ticket is an important document; it must be preserved and produced at the time of
Interview / admission.
ON THE DAY OF THE ENTRANCE TEST WHEN YOU REPORT TO THE TEST CENTRE, YOUNEED TO BRINGWITH YOU:

4. There will be two main merit lists in each group of applications (a) one for Part – “A” Mode of selectionmentioned above and (b) other for Part – “B” only on the marks obtained in Entrance Test.
5. All Non-C.U. and C.U. applicant of current and previous year will have to appear at the Entrance Test forselection in the Merit list of Part “B” only.
6. Any C.U. applicant may or may not appear in Entrance Test where Entrance Test is not mandatory.
7. If any C.U. applicant does not appear in the Entrance Test where Entrance Test is not mandatory then theapplicant will be considered in the Merit List of Part – “A” only.
8. If a C.U. applicant appears in the Entrance Test, he/she will be considered for the Merit List of both Part –“A” & Part - “B”
9. In case of admission to PG courses for Group -07 (CILCU), Group - 09 (Pali) & Group - 11 (BuddhistStudies), Entrance Test is Mandatory for both C.U. and Non-C.U. candidate and will be considered for theMerit list of Part “B” only. If a candidate fails to appear at the Entrance Test for the admission to thementioned Goup(s), he/she will not be considered for the admission.

SELECTION PROCEDURE AND ADMISSION RULE
A) 60% of total seats in each course termed as Part – “A” be earmarked for C.U. students only. All the current yearHonours Graduates of CU including Autonomous Colleges affiliated to CU will be considered in Part – “A”.
B) Rest 40% of total seat in each course termed as Part – “B” be earmarked for both Non-C.U. and C.U. candidates.
C.U. Honours Graduate candidates of the preceding year will be considered in Part –“B” only.
N.B. Admission to M.A. in Buddhist Studies, CILCU and Pali will be made only through Entrance Test.
A. Selection of candidate of Part“A”.Selection List for Admission will be published strictly in order of merit , based on percentage of marks secured inHonours subject and in case of a tie, the aggregate of marks in general subjects are taken into consideration for allcourses except those specially mentioned below.
B. Selection of candidate of Part “B” will be made on the basis of marks obtained in the EntranceTest.
1. Group wise Entrance Test for Non C.U. and C.U. applicants for selection in 40% of total seats will be held.
2. Each Entrance Test of one hour duration will be of MCQ type with OMR Answer Sheet except a fewspecifically mentioned. Full marks for each Entrance Test will be of 100 marks except for a few specificallymentioned. Number of questions in each test will be of 50 and each question shall have four options ofanswers of which one will be correct answer. For each correct answer scoring will be +2 marks and negativemarking of -0.5 marks for each wrong answer and for no try there will be 0 mark.
3. Selection for 40% of such seat in each course will be made on the basis of marks obtained in theentrance test only. If there is a tie of marks obtained in the written entrance test amongst thecandidates then the candidates with less negative marking will be placed in higher position in themerit list than the other candidate. Even if marks obtained & -ve marks become same, then % ofHons. marks obtained will be considered.
C. Other rules for Selection Procedures.
1. There will be two main merit lists in each group of applications (a) one for Part – “A”and (b) other for Part – “B”, as mentioned above.
2. Selection in each course may be run simultaneously from two merit lists a) Part –“A” and b) Part – “B”.
3. Existing SC/ST/PWD/ OBC-A/OBC-B reservation rules will be followed separately in both Part – “A”60% of total seats earmarked for C.U. students and Part – “B” 40% of total seats earmarked for both Non-C.U. & C.U. students.
4. If sufficient number of suitable SC/ST candidates are not available in Part – “A” the same may be filled upfrom Part – “B” and vice versa.
5. All Non-C.U. applicants have to appear in the Entrance Test and will be placed in the Merit list of Part “B”only.
6. Any current year passed out C.U. student may or may not appear in Entrance Test where Entrance Test isnot mandatory.
7. If any current year C.U. student does not appear in the Entrance Test where Entrance Test is not mandatorythen the applicant will be placed in the Merit List of Part – “A” only.

8. If any current year C.U. student appears in the Entrance Test then the applicant will be placed in the MeritList of both Part – “A” & “B”
9. In case where Entrance Test is Mandatory for both C.U. and Non-C.U. candidate, the candidate will not bein the Merit List if he or she fails to appear in the Entrance Test.
10. If an applicant gets chance in different positions in both Part A & B, the higher preference will be offeredto the applicant.If an applicant gets chance in same preference from both Part ‘A’ & ‘B’ and got selected for admission, his/her seat will be treated under Part ‘A’.
11. Counseling Mechanism
General Rules: The choices / preferences submitted by the candidates in their applications will be processed and seat will be
provisionally allotted in the order of merit as per application form submitted.
Next Round of Counseling for seat allotment:
Candidates eligible for seat allotment in the next round fall into one of the following sets:
Set – 1: Applicants who did not get any seat allotment in the 1st round. Set – 2: Applicants who were allotted a seat in lower preference in the previous selection list. A candidate is not eligible to a specific course if he/she has higher percentage of marks/Final Score/Entrance
Test Marks ( as applicable) than the last candidate selected in the previous counseling /selection list of thatspecific course.
For example; in one counseling last candidate had following scores :i. for course A – 490ii. for course B – 480iii. for course C – 470iv. for course D – 460In the next round of counseling, a candidate having score 472 is not eligible for course C & D but the candidateis eligible for course A & B and like that.
Rules for Seat Allotment: Set – 1: All the preferences will be processed. (in case where candidate not yet got a chance in any
course) Set – 2: Only the higher preferred choices will be processed.(in case where candidate already got a
chance in any courses)
12. Course wise eligibility criteria both for CU and Non-CU applicants are same.Eligible applicants of Other University (Non-CU) may also apply as appeared candidate subject to
production of Pass Mark sheet before publication of selection list satisfying the requisite eligibility criteria.
13. SC/ST/PWD/OBC-A/OBC-B reservation as per University rules and practices will be followed in both“Part -A” and “Part -B”. The University Reservation Rules framed time to time shall be applicable.
i) For Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe candidates, reservations will be provided for SC : 22%, ST: 6%for all courses.
For admission to different courses an SC/ST candidate getting admission should have obtained in the previousexamination, qualifying marks not lower by more than 25% of marks obtained by the last candidate of theGeneral category.
Where merit list will be prepared on the basis of score with fractional weightage of different components (likeentrance test, qualifying exam marks, 10+2 level exam marks, interview, etc. ), the SC/ST candidate shouldobtain final score not lower than 25% than that of obtain by the last candidates admitted of General Category.

Where merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance test only, the SC/ST candidateshould obtain marks in the entrance test not lower than 25% than that of obtained by the last candidateadmitted of General Category.
For SC/ST candidates, a relaxation of 5% marks in aggregate shall be admissible on last qualifying marks (ifapplicable) in minimum eligibility requirements for submission of applications in comparison to generalcandidates. For example, if eligibility marks for General Candidates be 60% then the eligibility marks forSC/ST Candidate will be 55%. Similarly 5 % relaxation in H.S. marks (Where applicable) will be admissible.
NoteIf the candidate avails facility in minimum eligibility requirement then the candidate will be treated underconcerned reserved category
ii) PWD (Persons with Disabilities) Persons with disabilities having 40% and above degree of disability willenjoy a 5% reservation horizontally in each of the categories, i.e. in UR, SC, ST,OBC –A, OBC-B and in theUnreserved or General Category, and such candidates, if available, shall be placed towards the top of the listprepared for each category of students.
For PWD candidates, a relaxation of 5% marks in aggregate shall be admissible on last qualifying marks (ifapplicable) in minimum eligibility requirements for submission of application in comparison to generalcandidates. For example, if eligibility marks for General Candidates be 60% than the eligibility marks forPWD Candidate will be 55%. Similarly 5 % relaxation in H.S. marks (Where applicable) will be admissible.
The PWD candidates claiming seats under reserved category are required to produce appropriate PWDcertificates issued by the competent authority satisfying the following criteria:
Officer-in-Charge or Medical Head of Primary Health Centers, Block Health Centers, State General Hospitals,Rural Hospitals, Sub-Divisional Hospitals or the District Hospitals run by the State Government or anyhospital run by a statutory body or authority.
PWD category candidates will be ELIGIBLE with a minimum of 40% disability subject to the condition thatthe candidate is capable of carrying out all activities related to theory / practical work, as applicable ,to thecourses without special concession and exemption.
For admission to different courses a PWD candidate getting admission should have obtained in the previousexamination, qualifying marks not lower by more than 25% of marks obtained by the last candidate of theGeneral category.
Where merit list will be prepared on the basis of score with fractional weightage of different components (likeentrance test, qualifying exam marks, 10+2 level exam marks, interview, etc. ), the PWD candidate shouldobtain final score not lower than 25% than that of obtain by the last candidates admitted of General Category.
Where merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance test only, the PWD candidateshould obtain marks in the entrance test not lower than25% than that of obtained by the last candidatesadmitted of General Category.
iii) OBC (OBC-A & OBC-B) reservation (non creamy layer) will be 6% of the total seat for the year 2015as additional seat. OBC student getting admission should obtain marks in the previous qualifying examinationin the relevant last qualifying examination not lower than 10% than that obtained by the last candidateadmitted from the general category (if applicable).
Where merit list will be prepared on the basis of final score with fractional weightage of different components(like entrance test, qualifying exam marks, 10+2 level exam marks, interview, etc.), the OBC candidateshould obtain final score not lower than 10% than that of obtained by the last candidates admitted of GeneralCategory.

FOR NON – C.U. CANDIDATES
1) 60% of total seat in each course be earmarked for C.U. students only. This 60% of total seat be termed asPart– “A” seat in each course. All the current year C.U Honours Graduate students will be considered inPart – “A”.
2) Rest 40% of total seat in each course be earmarked for both Non-C.U. and C.U. candidates. This 40% oftotal seat be termed as Part – “B” seat in each course. C.U. Honours Graduate candidates of the preceding yearwill be considered in Part – “B” only.
Part – B :
Non-C.U. candidate means the candidate who passed the required Bachelor Examination as eligibility degreefor admission in relevant P.G. courses from the University other than Calcutta University.
Non-C.U. Honours graduates or its equivalent of the current year and of the immediate preceding year for all courses.
1. Honours graduate or, its equivalent of Other Indian Universities of (10+2+3) pattern. Candidates passing Honours inScience with 1st class in undergraduate level from Indira Gandhi National Open University, Netaji Subhas OpenUniversity and the Distance Education Programme of Other Universities in West Bengal of current year and immediatepreceding year.
2. Course wise eligibility criteria of both C.U. and Non-C.U. candidate are same.
3. Non C. U. Final Year candidate may also apply as ‘Appeared Candidate’ and to be included in the Part-Bmerit list after production of original Pass Mark sheet satisfying the requisite eligibility criteria beforeEntrance Test or Interview, as applicable whichever is earlier.

5. All Non-C.U. students admitted in the P.G. Courses must have to submit application for Registration at CalcuttaUniversity in prescribed format along with Original Migration Certificate from previous University within a monthof admission.

For Reserved Category Candidates
The following seats are reserved in each subject for the under mentioned categories (declaration once givencannot be changed).
1) For SC/ST - 22% and 6% respectively of the total seats of the concerned subject.Eligibility - SC/ST candidates should submit online scanned copy of SC/ST certificate issued as per the WestBengal SC/ST (identification) Act 1994.Candidates from other Universities outside West Bengal will have tosubmit online scanned copy of domicile certificate along with their S.C./S.T./O.B.C.-A & B certificate.
2) For Persons with Disability: reservation of 3% seats for PWD horizontally within each respectivecategory (SC/ST, OBC-A, OBC- B/unreserved) of the concerned subject.
N.B.- Persons with disability candidates having degree of 40% and above should submit copy of a certificateissued by the competent authority of a Govt. Hospital.
3) For OBC-A & OBC-B: 10% & 7% respectively of the total seats of the concerned subject.Implementation of reservation has already been in effect from the Academic Session 2014-15 by part incompliance with the order of the W. B. Govt. Rules in a phase-wise manner as given in relevant G.O.s andendorsed by the C.U. Syndicate.
4) Sports Quota: - Additional Total 8(Eight) seats for Arts and 4(Four) seats for M.Com.N.B.- Eligibility will be decided by the appropriate authority of the C.U.
5) Military Quota: - Additional 5 seats will be reserved for the children of the Ex-military servicemen whohave died or have become disabled in the battle field provided they are otherwise eligible.
6) Foreign Quota: 15% supernumerary seats for foreign students have been earmarked (vide UGC letter no.F.1-30-94 (CPP-II) dt.13.10.2000.
5% out of 15% supernumerary seats for foreign students earmarked for children of Indian work in the Gulf.
7) SC/ST/PWD/OBC-A/OBC-B reservation as per University rules and practices will be followed in both“Part -A” and “Part -B”. The University Reservation Rules framed time to time shall be applicable.
i) For Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe candidates, reservations will be provided for SC: 22%, ST: 6%for all courses.
For admission to different courses an SC/ST candidate getting admission should have obtained in the previousexamination, qualifying marks not lower by more than 25% of marks obtained by the last candidate of theGeneral category.
Where merit list will be prepared on the basis of score with fractional weightage of different fractions (likeentrance test, qualifying exam marks, 10+2 level exam marks, interview, etc. ), the SC/ST candidate shouldobtain final score not lower than 25% than that of obtain by the last candidates admitted of General Category.
Where merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance test only, the SC/ST candidateshould obtain marks in the entrance test not lower than25% than that of obtained by the last candidatesadmitted of General Category.
For SC/ST candidates, a relaxation of 5% marks in aggregate shall be admissible on last qualifying marks (ifapplicable) in minimum eligibility requirements for submission of applications in comparison to generalcandidates. For example, if eligibility marks for General Candidates be 60% then the eligibility marks forSC/ST Candidate will be 55%. Similarly 5 % relaxation in H.S. marks (Where applicable) will be admissible.

ii) PWD (Persons with Disabilities) Persons with disabilities having 40% and above degree of disability willenjoy a 3% reservation horizontally in each of the categories, i.e. in UR, SC, ST,OBC –A, OBC-B and in theUnreserved or General Category, and such candidates, if available, shall be placed towards the top of the listprepared for each category of students.
For PWD candidates, a relaxation of 5% marks in aggregate shall be admissible on last qualifying marks (ifapplicable) in minimum eligibility requirements for submission of application in comparison to generalcandidates. For example, if eligibility marks for General Candidates be 60% than the eligibility marks forPWD Candidate will be 55%. Similarly 5 % relaxation in H.S. marks (Where applicable) will be admissible.
The PWD candidates claiming seats under reserved category are required to produce appropriate PWDcertificates issued by the competent authority satisfying the following criteria:
Officer-in-Charge or Medical Head of Primary Health Centers, Block Health Centers, State General Hospitals,Rural Hospitals, Sub-Divisional Hospitals or the District Hospitals run by the State Government or anyhospital run by a statutory body or authority.
PWD category candidates will be ELIGIBLE with a minimum of 40% disability subject to the condition thatthe candidate is capable of carrying out all activities related to theory / practical work, as applicable ,to thecourses without special concession and exemption.
For admission to different courses a PWD candidate getting admission should have obtained in the previousexamination, qualifying marks not lower by more than 25% of marks obtained by the last candidate of theGeneral category.

OBC student getting admission should obtain marks in the previous qualifying examinationin the relevant last qualifying examination not lower than 10% than that obtained by the last candidateadmitted from the general category (if applicable).
Where merit list will be prepared on the basis of final score with fractional weightage of different fractions(like entrance test, qualifying exam marks, 10+2 level exam marks, interview, etc.), the OBC candidateshould obtain final score not lower than 10% than that of obtained by the last candidates admitted of GeneralCategory.
Where merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance test only, the OBC candidateshould obtain marks in the entrance test not lower that 10% than that of obtained by the last candidatesadmitted of General Category.

a) If a candidate forgets to select all the courses he/she wants to apply or if he/she wants to change the orderof preference of courses he/she has applied. In such a case he/she should submit a fresh online applicationthrough new registration using new e-mail ID and selecting all the courses(s) with his/her right choice oforder of preference and submit the printed copy(s) of fresh application (not the wrong one) within thestipulated time (i.e. last date of submission of online application)

b) If any Candidate by mistake submits online application in different time (with different application No.) fordifferent courses, authority will consider only the latest application.
c) Please remember all the applications of a candidate should have same Application No but different GroupNos., and a single e-receipt and single Acknowledgement Slip.
d) For any other mistake please write a plain paper application for correction of mistake. Minor mistake canalso be changed in the Draft Merit List using Format I within stipulated time.
e) No correction shall be allowed for change of order of preference and no. of courses after last date of onlinesubmission.
f) For other minor mistake please pen through and write the correct one and make an initial on the printed copy ofthe application. Termination of Studentship
If any student remains absent from his/her classes continuously for seven days or attendance of less than 50%
in any consecutive two (2) weeks from the date of his/her admission, his/her name will be struck off the rolls

6) Non-Calcutta University Student must submit his application for Registration at C.U. in prescribed formatalong with original migration certificate from the previous University within a month of admission.

Candidate seeking admission in Reserve category seats must be domicile of West Bengal and accordinglysubmission of Domicile certificate in prescribed format from competent authority is mandatory at the time ofapplication. The Domicile of West Bengal shall be treated for those candidates who are
EITHERResiding in West Bengal continuously at least for last 10 years as on………………………( Proforma A-1and A-II)
ORWhose parent(s) is / are permanent resident ( s) of West Bengal having permanent address within the state ofWest Bengal ( Proforma-B)
Competent Authority to issue Domicile Certificate
Proforma A-1 and Proforma-B:
It must be signed and certified by any of the following competent authorities from Central Government orState Government having local jurisdiction over the place of the permanent residence of the concernedcandidate or his / her parents, as the case may be .viz. District Magistrate , (ii) Additional District Magistrate,(iii) Deputy Magistrate ( iv) Deputy Collector; (v) Sub-divisional Officer ; (vi) Block Development Officer ;(vii) Superintendent of Police; (viii) Additional Superintendent of Police (ix) Sub-divisional Police Officer orDeputy Superintendent of Police (x) Commissioner, Additional Commissioner, Joint Commissioner, DeputyCommissioner, Assistant Commissioner of Police Commissioner ate; (xi) Judicial Magistrate of any rank orposition in the concerned District or Metropolitan Locality or Hon’ble High Court at Calcutta or Hon’bleSupreme Court of India; (xii) Commissioner, Additional Commissioner, Joint Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner of Municipal Corporation (xiii)Executive Officer of Municipality; xiii) Assistant Secretary / Equivalent or above in the Secretariat to theGovernment of West Bengal ( including GTA) or Central Govt. (xv) Deputy Director or above in theDirectorate to the Government of West Bengal or Central Government.
Every Official certifying the Domicile Status of the candidate or his/her parents MUST provide one’s FullNAME, DESIGNATION, PLACE OF POSTING WITH ADDRESS, LANDLINE AND MOBILE NUMBERALONGWITH EMPLOYEE’S IDENTITY CARD NUMBER, These details are MANDATORY,CERTIFICATION FROM ANY AUTHORITY OTHER THAN WHAT HAVE BEEN ENUMERATEDABOVE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
Note: No elected people’s representative like Municipal Commission, Counselor of MunicipalCorporation, any elected member of three – tier Panchayat system or GTA, MLA or MP is entitled toissue such certificates.
Proforma A-II
Domicile certificate in this proforma may be obtained from Head of the Institution from which the candidatehas passed his/her 10+2 examination. Such certificate may be issued based on verification of the schooleducation record of the candidate. The proforma such certificate is given hereunder & to be downloaded.

IMPORTANT NOTIFICATION
1. Please go through the details in the Information Brochure carefully before filling up Application Form.Application Forms found to be incomplete even after the window period provided for correction orupdating will be summarily rejected.
2. Content page in the Information Brochure may be seen for any specific enquiry.3. All information, given in the Brochure, are provisional and subject to change for time to time, and will
be notified in the University Website.4. The detailed admission schedule (i.e., dates, time, venue etc.) for online application, updating of marks
and correction of information, submission of printed copy of downloaded application form (ifspecifically required), Entrance Test, downloading of e-Hall Ticket, date of counseling, selection list,date of admission etc. will be notified from time to time in the University Website.
5. Applicant is required to select the course(s) / College(s) in order of preference he/she intends to apply.System will automatically generate the required No. of Application Form(s), Acknowledgement Slip, e-Receipt etc.
6. Select order of preference (Course/College) very carefully. A notification may be given for correction,if any, but after the dates for correction are over, no change / correction in the Application Form can bemade whatsoever, in any way. Therefore, the following points must be ensured:i) Number of Course(s) to be applied.ii) Order of preference of the Course(s) to be opted.iii) Order of preference of the College(s) to be selected.
7. Application Fee(s) must be paid after the submission of online Application Form (not before) , throughBill Desk Gateway. Total Fee(s) must be deposited in a single transaction.
8. All candidates of C.U or Non-C.U; who have appeared in 3rd year/ final semester examinations thisyear but their results are yet to be published, are eligible to apply for admission to P.G. Courses2019,and hence, eligible to appear at the Entrance Test to be conducted for admission to P.G. Courses forPart (i.e. 40% of the total Seats).
9. Similarly C.U or Non-Cu candidates who have passed out in the year 2018 and not beyond, are eligibleto apply for admission to P.G. Courses 2019 and hence eligible to appear at the Entrance test to beconducted for admission to Part B(i.e. 40% of the total Seats).
10. C.U. PNC candidates and those without clear mark sheets of all 3years or all semesters are not eligiblefor admission to P.G. Courses 2019 even if their names get included in the Selection list for admission.(A clear mark sheet means the one which does not show Fail/ Arrear etc in any subject of any year/semester mark sheet.)
11. Course wise eligibility criteria for both Cu and Non-CU applicants are same12. The admission of Non C.U. candidates is subject to equivalence of their U.G. Course of Study with
U.G. Course of Study in C.U. The equivalence Department of C.U will issue a certificate ofequivalence after examining. Therefore, Non-C.U candidates are required to email to the Secretary,UCAC for equivalence with attachment of the following documents at the respective email addressesmentioned in Section-8 of Information Brochurei) Photocopy of the printed online application form.ii) Photocopy of the application fee e-receipt (CU and Bank logo must be there on).iii) All Part/Semesters mark sheets.iv) All Part/Semesters Admit Cards.
13. Candidates applying under reserved categories with S.C/ S.T/ OBCA/ OBCB/ PWD certificates issuedby a state other than West Bengal, must procure a domicile certificate from a competent authorityunder Govt. of West Bengal ( see Section-23 of Information Brochure ) and not from his / her state ofOrigin.
14. Measures have been taken to make the Information Brochure free from error. However, any omission/mistake, if detected, may kindly be brought to the notice of the Authority for necessary correction.
15. Kindly visit the website of CU frequently and follow the information, instruction, notification andadmission schedules which will be uploaded from time to time in course of admission process.
