    We have a great pleasure to introduce you to a compilation o all Master study pro-grams which are available at the University o Belgrade.Our University is the oldest University in Serbia, well-known or its tradition and qual-ity o education, which lasts or more than 200 years.     Study program Banking and Financial Man-agement is a program o graduate academicstudies or education o proessionals, graduateeconomists - master in banking and nancialmanagement. The program lasts one academicyear and amount to 60 ECTS credits: 45 ECTS or

    the courses and 15 ECTS or the nal master the-sis. The study program includes a basic modulewhich carries 35 ECTS and consists o compulso-ry courses, elective courses, which carry 10 ECTSo which students choose two subjects (10 ECTS)and the nal paper which carries 15 ECTS. Theprogram is intended or education and trainingproessionals to work in the banking and nan-cial sector in perorming complex and manage-rial jobs. The program is ully ormulated in ac-cordance with the requirements and standardso accreditation, as well as modern trends o

    development o scientic disciplines o bankingand nance, so that students can acquire the ap-propriate competencies and skills to work in thebanking and nancial sector. The study programis consistent with similar programs o study thatexist at oreign universities.

    Study program Banking and Financial Manage-ment has a clearly dened goal to provide ourstudents with a set o content knowledge andskills necessary to develop a successul career in

    The study program o master studies EconomicAnalysis and Policy is the second cycle o high-er education in the eld o economics, speci-cally in economic analysis and policy. The pro-gram ollows dynamic changes in the economicbackground, meeting the needs o economy

    and state institutions or new competence andknowledge, as well as or the skills required roma holder o MSc degree in economics. At thesame time, the program ollows all innovationsin the eld o education, such as the standardso the Bologna process and the directions o de-velopment o higher education in Serbia, aimingto provide quality, exible and ecient studyprocess.

    This study program ully ollows the needs omarket economy or adequate specialists en-

    gaged in economic analytics, as well as in creat-ing and leading o economic policy. The holderso the MSc degree in this eld are qualied to in-volve in solving real economic problems whichmarket economy imposes at enterprises, stateinstitutions and agencies. They are also able tojoin scientic and research work at the highereducation institutions and institutes.

    The study program Economic Policy and Devel-opment is a program o master studies intend-ed or the education o experts - holders o MScdegree in economics in the eld o economicpolicy and development. It lasts or one yearand has 60 ECTS, as ollows: 45 ECTS in courses

    and 15 ECTS in the nal master work. The basicmodule consists o ve courses (25 ECTS), whilethe remaining 20 ECTS are related to the electivecourses selected rom two baskets o subjects.

    The study program covers a wide range oknowledge in relation to economic develop-ment and economic policy in order to encour-age development. The program educates andtrains proessionals to work in these areas in ac-cordance with the requirements o modern eco-nomic and social development. Given the low

    level o economic development o our countryand the need to ensure conditions or a dy-namic and sustainable economic development,the experts o this prole are required to workin responsible positions in industry, governmentinstitutes, the public sector as a whole, in devel-opment nancing and the conduct o efectivemonetary and scal policy.

    Study program Quantitative Analysis is a gradu-ate academic study program designed or edu-cating graduated experts in economics MScin Quantitative Analysis. Graduates rom thisprogram gain knowledge related to quantitativeeconomics, statistics and demography.

    The program lasts or 1 year and amounts to 60ECTS: 45 ECTS or the courses and 15 ECTS orthe nal Master thesis.

    The program covers 6 modules in the scopeo quantitative analysis: Actuary, Demography,Econometrics, Inormatics, Operational Researchand Statistics. Basic general module contains 3obligatory courses (15 ECTS), ater which the stu-dent selects a module. All modules have appro-priate curriculum structure providing adequate

    elective courses.

    Graduate academic studies in Macroeconomicso transition economies ( Les politiques mac-roconomiques dans les pays en transition ) is theinternational master program, jointly organizedand implemented by the Faculty o Economicsin Belgrade and the Faculty o Law, Political Sci-

    ence, Economics and Management (Centre orthe Study o macroeconomics and internationalnance - http://www.unice.r/CEMAFI/) o theUniversity in Nice (France). The program is theresult o successully completed TEMPUS proj-ect - Bilingual Master in macroeconomics witha double degree (CD-JEP-19040-2004), coordi-nated by the Faculty o Economics in Belgrade.

    The program has been implemented since year2006 and ormulated in accordance with all thepositive experiences o contemporary standards

    in teaching process, in accordance with the Bo-logna process. The program has been approvedby the appropriate authorities o French highereducation institutions - Faculty o Law, PoliticalScience, Economics and Management (Univer-sity in Nice, France), where the classes are com-pletely adapted to the requirements o BolognaProcess and o European Credit Transer Systemas well as the appropriate authorities o the Re-public o France. The program equips studentswith the academic knowledge and skills neces-sary to gain competences in the eld o graduatemasters macroeconomic policies o countries in

    transition, the unctioning specics o the eco-nomic system in transition economies, as well asthe operations o the nancial subjects in thesespecic conditions, and the integration o transi-tion economies into the global economic ows.The educational process involves both institu-tions o higher education, and classes are con-ducted in two languages-Serbian and French.Upon successul completion o the programstudents receive two degrees: Graduate econo-mist master (Faculty o Economics in Belgrade)and Master conomie gestion (University o

    The program ocuses on understanding o eco-nomic system, on understanding the role o in-stitutions in the process o economic policy, onthe interdependence o market structure andeconomic policy, on the role o internationalmarkets to national economic policy, develop-ment economic and political institutions andthe specic conditions o transition.

    Graduate economist master are trained to workon tasks o economic analysts and consultants inthe economy and nancial institutions, but alsoon work related to ormulation and conductingeconomic policy, both in government institu-tions (ministries and national agencies) and ineconomic institutions, they are also qualied tourther scientic research on the doctor studiesin economics, both at the Faculty o Economicsin Belgrade and at Universities in Europe, giventhat this is research master (master rcherche)

    in the French education system which providesan opportunity or urther education in doctoralstudies.

    Program is designed to train students or a widerange o activities that provide knowledge inthe eld o macroeconomics, economics, laborand capital, economic policy and the transitionprocess, institutional economics and globaliza-tion and the transition process, monetary andnancial macroeconomics, public sector man-agement, methodology o research and quanti-tative - econometric analysis.

    For the purposes o teaching in this programspecial classrooms is equipped with an ad-equate number o computers and with videoconerencing equipment able to establish a di-rect link with the University o Nice and otherworld universities.

    The program keeps pace with the developmento economic science (in the eld o internationaleconomics), and also ollows the tendencies inthe teaching process development in the eld.

    The program structure complies with the ac-creditation requirements, and it is also compat-ible with similar programs at oreign higher-ed-ucation institutions. According to the programstructure, students gain 45 ECTS or attendingthe courses, and 15 ECTS by writing and deend-ing the nal thesis.

    The duration o the Master Academic Law Stud-ies is one academic year, and the students whocomplete them obtain a total o 60 ECTS pointsand the academic rank Master Jurist. The Masterstudies program, provides additional and morein-depth knowledge and skills which represent

    a basis or independent, competent, conscien-tious integration into the legal proession withhighly proessional moral.

    This program is conducted within the scopeo two elective elds modules, which are or-ganized or multiple akin courses. The BusinessLaw module provides knowledge and under-standing o key institutes, principles and solu-tions o certain branches o law which are part oa broader amily o Civil and Business Law, whilstwithin the Administrative Judicial Module in-

    cumbents study administrative procedures andofering o legal protection by the courts.

    Studying o relevant legal phenomena is orient-ed interdisciplinary, so that the study programofers knowledge not only rom a narrow legalperspective, but in act rom the sociological,economic and politicological disciplines as well,all the while whilst stressing the training o thepupils to apply the knowledge gained in thisprogram in practice.

    Each module encompasses six obligatory and

    One mandatory course - Introduction into theStudies o the EU + one mandatory PracticalSkills Module + 4 modules consisting o 12 op-tional courses.

    The student shall opt or three courses rom our

    modules and shall attend the Introduction intothe Studies o the EU (altogether 4 courses or300 group hours) as well as the Practical SkillsModule (40 group hours).

    Introduction into the Studies o the EU courseand the Practical Skills Module shall be deliveredin the rst 9 weeks o the academic year. Everynext six weeks, other three courses shall be de-livered consecutively, en block. There shall beour such blocks o courses.

    Duration o the courses: Each course shall con-sist o 50 hours o lectures and o 25 hours oseminar classes 75 hours altogether. Coursesshall be delivered in 6 weeks and in the rame-work o the aorementioned our blocks.

    Practical program o the Master Academic Stud-ies (Academic Studies o Practical Theology)represents deepened studies, which are a ollowup to the basic academic studies o the sameprogram. They last two years and consist o ourstudy semesters.
