Notifi cation for admission to 3-year IntegratedPh. D programme in Zoology

Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for admission to the 3-year integrated Ph. D programme in the Department of Zoology. 1. The admission to the Ph. D programme shall be made in accordance with the latest

statutes published/issued by the University on 24-09-2014. The eligibility criteria and the procedure for applying can be accessed on the offi cial website of the University of Kashmir (www.kashmiruniversity.net).

2. Applications shall be submitted online by accessing the offi cial website of the University (clicking on the link for 3-year integrated Ph. D programme). The auto generated (after online submission) application form alongwith pay-in-slip for depositing the Entrance Test fee of `500/- in Hazratbal branch of J&K Bank in favour of the Dean Research bearing No.0007040500000333 can then be downloaded by the candidate. The auto generated application form along with the University copy of pay-in-slip and relevant certifi cates shall be received in the offi ce of Dean, Faculty of Biological Sciences upto 16-01-2017. List of verifi ed/screened applications (hard-copies as well as soft-copies) will be forwarded to the offi ce of the Dean Research for conduct of Entrance Test.

3. The date for conduct of Entrance Test in the concerned subject shall be notifi ed separately. The Entrance Test shall comprise 100 objective type questions to be attempted in 120 minutes, set from the syllabus prescribed by concerned Department which can also be downloaded from the offi cial website of the University.

4. Admission shall be subject to the availability of seats in the concerned Department. 5. The candidates having qualifi ed (a) National level Examination like, NET/SET (CSIR,

UGC), BET, DBT (Govt. of India) ICMR, ICAR, INSPIRE Fellow DST (b) University/College Teachers with three years service on substantive basis or with JRF and 2-years service on substantive basis shall be exempted from appearing in the Entrance Test, but are required to apply alongwith the other candidates within the stipulated time.
