Throghout history astronomers have formulated different theories about the Universe.

Galileo Galilei realise that the Sun was at the centre and that the Earth and the rest of the planets orbited around it.The Universe started with a huge explosion about 17 million years ago.This explosion is known as The Big Bang.

The big bang theory says that the Universe began with a cataclysm that created space and time, as well as all the matter and energy that has ever existed in the Universe.
