Plant Safety Measures Ramped Up for COVID-19Unitex is taking the health and safety of our staff very seriously during the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus and have implemented rigorous new measures in all of our plants.

• Plant managers have installed informa-tive posters throughout the plants and shared the Unitex Guidelines and Proto-col with associates and customers.

• All janitorial supply dispensers have been filled with hard surface disinfec-tant that is designed to destroy coro-naviruses.

• All porters have been trained in stricter cleaning procedures to improve the disinfection of the plant adding doorknobs and other high contact areas previously not included.

• All employees are required to hand sanitize after scanning in with the Hand Scan Time Clock at shift start and end. ■

Unitex Celebrates Two ESL Class Graduations at 10BRecently Unitex had two very exciting celebrations for the students of two ESL classes at 10B. On Monday, March 2nd, the inaugural ESL class gradu-ated to the third level in English, and on Tuesday March 3rd, the second group to enter ESL classes graduated to the second level in English. There were many emotional moments as the students expressed their gratitude for the opportunity they have been given to learn and be more confident in their English speaking abilities. Congratulations to all of our employees who have committed to furthering their education. We applaud you! ■

Medidas de seguridad de planta aumentadas para COVID-19Unitex se toma muy en serio la salud y la seguridad de nuestro personal durante el brote del virus COVID-19 y ha implementado nuevas y rigurosas medidas en todas nuestras plantas.

• Los gerentes de planta han instala-do carteles informativos en todas las plantas y han compartido las Direc-trices y el Protocolo de Unitex con asociados y clientes.

• Todos los dispensadores de suminis-tros de limpieza se han llenado con desinfectante para superficies duras diseñado para destruir los coronavi-rus.

• Todos los porteros han sido capacit-ados en procedimientos de limpieza más estrictos para mejorar la desin-fección de la planta agregando pomos de las puertas y otros áreas de con-tacto previamente no incluidas.

• Todos los empleados deben desinfec-tar a mano después de escanear con el Reloj de tiempo de escaneo manual al inicio y al final del turno. ■

Unitex celebra dos graduaciones de clase de ESL en 10BRecientemente, Unitex tuvo dos celebraciones muy emocionantes para los estudiantes de dos clases de ESL en 10B. El lunes 2 de marzo, la clase inaugural de ESL se graduó al tercer nivel en in-glés, y el martes 3 de marzo, el segundo grupo que ingresó a las clases de ESL se graduó al se-gundo nivel en inglés. Hubo muchos momentos emocionales cuando los estudiantes expresaron su gratitud por la oportunidad que se les ha dado para aprender y tener más confianza en sus hab-ilidades de habla inglesa.
