INTEGRATED PEST MANAGEMENT (IPM)To reduce the potential for development of resistance, integrate this product into an overall disease andpest management strategy whenever the use of a fungicide is required. Follow cultural practices known toreduce disease development such as selection of disease-tolerant varieties, removal of plant debris inwhich inoculum overwinters, and proper timing and placement of irrigation. Consult with your StateAgricultural Experiment Station or Extension Service specialist for additional IPM strategies established foryour area. This product may be used in State Agricultural Extension advisory (disease forecasting)programs which recommend application timing based on environmental factors favorable for diseasedevelopment.

Crop Tolerance: Plant tolerance has been found to be acceptable for all crops on the label. However, notall possible tank mixture combinations have been tested under all conditions. It is recommended to testtank mixture combinations on a small portion of the crop to assess plant response before large scaleapplications. See the USE PRECAUTIONS AND LIMITATIONS section for apple phytotoxicity information.

RESISTANCE MANAGEMENTThis product is a Group 11 fungicide. The mode of action for azoxystrobin, the active ingredient in thisproduct, is the inhibition of the Qol (quinone outside) site within the electron transport system as well asdisruption of membrane synthesis by blocking demethylation [Group 11]. Fungal pathogens can developresistance to products with the same mode of action when used repeatedly. Because resistancedevelopment cannot be predicted, use this product in accordance with resistance management strategiesestablished for the crop and use area. Consult your local or State agricultural authorities for resistancemanagement strategies that are complementary to those in this label. Resistance manage.nent strategiesmay include alternating and/or tank-mixing with products having different modes of action or limiting thetotal number of applications per season. Nufarm Americas Inc. encourages responsible resistancemanagement to ensure effective lonq-term control of the fungal diseases on this label with Group ".". (Qol)fungicides.

Follow the crop specific resistance management recommendations provided in the directors for use.

If no resistance recommendation on number of applications is specified in the directions for use, follow therecommendations in the table below.

Under conditions requiring multiple fungicide applications, develop season long spray programs for Group11 (Qol) fungicides. In crops where two sequential Group 11 fungicide applications are made, alternatingwith two or more applications of a fungicide that is not in Group 11 will help reduce the potential forresistance development. If more than 12 applications are made, observe the following guidelines:

« When a Qol fungicide is used as a solo product, make no more than 1/3 (33%) of the total number offungicide applications per season with the Qol containing product.

« For programs including tank mixes or premixes of a Qol fungicide with mixing partners of a differentmode of action, the number of Qol containing applications must represent no more than 1/2 (50%) of thetotal number of fungicide applications per season.

• In programs including applications of Qol fungicides as both solo products and mixtures, the number ofQol containing applications must represent no more than 1/2 (50%) of the total number of fungicideapplications per season.

If a Group 11 fungicide is applied to the seed or soil, do not make another application with a Group 11fungicide for at least 3 weeks.

SOILBORNE/SEEDLING DISEASE CONTROL

For crops that have specific use directions for soilborne disease control:This product can provide control of many soilborne diseases if applied early in the growing season.Specific applications for soilborne diseases include in-furrow applications and banded applications appliedover the row, either shortly after plant emergence or during herbicide applications or cultivation. Theseapplications will provide control of pre- or postemergence damping off and diseases that infect plants at thesoil-plant interface.

The use of either type of application depends on the regional cultural practices. In some locations, onetype of application may provide better disease control than the other, depending on the timing of thedisease epidemic. Seedling diseases are generally controlled by in-furrow applications while bandedapplications are more effective against soilborne diseases that develop later in the season. Consult yourlocal expert to get some guidance regarding application type.

Under cool, wet conditions, crop injury from soil directed applications can occur.

Banded applicationApply this product prior to infection as a directed spray to the soil, using single or multiple nozzles, adjusted to provide thorough coverage of the lower stems and the soil surface surrounding the plants. Limitband width to 7 inches or less. Apply this product at a rate of 0.40-0.80 fl oz product (0.10-0.20 oz. a.i.) per1000 row feet. For banded applications on 22-inch rows, the maximum application rate is 0.70 fl oz per1000 row feet. These applications come into contact with the foliage and are counted as foliar applicationswhen considering resistance management. They may be applied during cultivation or hilling operations toprovide soil incorporation.

In-furrow applicationApply this product as an in-furrow spray in 3-15 gallons of water at planting. Mount the spray nozz'e so thespray is directed into the furrow just before the seeds are covered. Use the highe.' race allowed whenweather conditions are expected to favor disease development, if the field has a history of Pythlumproblems, or if minimum/low till programs are in place.
