• Categorical Exclusion (CX) can be used for routine projects with little effect on the environment.
• Environmental Assessment (EA) is an extensive review to determine if a project will create significant environmental impacts.
• EA can lead to Finding of No Significant Impact (FNSI) or a more comprehensive assessment of environmental impacts in form of an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) and public review process.
