United Nations Security Council Emergency Session Bulletin As the Hong Kong independence movement leaders announce they have agreed they will not stand down to the mainland’s ultimatum and begin to organize their forces so as to defend themselves from the impending Chinese attack promised to come as soon as the 24-hour time limit comes to a close, with approximately ten hours remaining in the ultimatum. World leaders, from Russia’s Vladimir Putin to Brazil’s Dilma Rousseff to Australia’s Tony Abbott have spoken in favor of non-interventionism in what is internationally being referred to as a “strictly Chinese matter.” The United States Department of State has yet to comment on the matter. In a highly surprising turn of events, however, the Hong Kong independence movement has sparked violent uprisings in the Chinese-controlled territories of Tibet, Macau, East Turkestan (referred to by the Chinese as Xinjiang Uyghur) and Inner Mongolia, all of them led by revolutionary groups claiming solidarity with Hong Kong. One anonymous source close to a revolutionary group based in Lhana, Tibet said: “We stand with Hong Kong in mutual denial of Chinese abuse of our people. Together we can show the world we can stand together, unbowed, unafraid.” Tourists all over the Chinese national territory are currently being evacuated with Chinese and United Nations cooperation. The Chinese Chairman of the Central Military Commission, President Xi Jinping, addressed the media somberly in a press conference, saying, “The People’s Republic of China is one nation that stands united before

As the Hong Kong independence movement leaders announce they have agreed they will not stand down to the mainland’s ultimatum and begin to organize their forces so as to defend themselves from the impending Chinese attack promised to come as soon as the 24-hour time limit comes to a close, with approximately ten hours remaining in the ultimatum.

Together we can show the world we can stand together, unbowed, unafraid.”

Tourists all over the Chinese national territory are currently being evacuated with Chinese and United Nations cooperation. The Chinese Chairman of the Central Military Commission, President Xi Jinping, addressed the media somberly in a press conference, saying, “The People’s Republic of China is one nation that stands united before the world, as it has stood for millennia. We have every intention to stay united, and have no qualms whatsoever with fighting a war on five fronts if it means preserving Chinese unity.” Xi gave no further comments.

With less than four hours remaining in the central Chinese government’s ultimatum, international tension and media frenzy have brought the situation to a boiling point in a matter of hours. People’s Liberation Army regiments have been mobilized incredibly fast, and tens of thousands of Chinese soldiers await orders along the claimed borders of all five rebelling territories. PLA warships crowd the Pacific Ocean along Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, and Japan, a measure that the Chinese government has declined to comment on. eUnited Nations intelligence officials have reported the Korean People’s Army has been performing training exercises for tanks, airplanes, and ground troops, in a presumed effort to aid the government of the People’s Republic of China in its efforts to quell the rebellious movement. The Korean government has denied these

training exercises are taking place. They will be keeping the Security Council, as well as the Secretary-General, actively informed on this matter.

After a joint press session held by Shinzō Abe, Prime Minister of Japan, along with Ma Ying-jeou and Benigno Aquino, Presidents of Taiwan and the Phillippines, respectively, where they condemned China’s actions and expressed fear for their intense naval presence in the region. The American State Department assured these three nations the United States would be sure to lend “all necessary aid so as to assure the safety of our allies and avoid Chinese control of Pacific territories that do not belong to their nation,” according to Secretary of State John Kerry. The first nation to respond to this news was Russia, with Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov saying, “The Russian Federation will not allow any efforts on behalf of the United States of America to create a proxy war and intervene where they have no right. We will not hesitate to take full military actions to support the government of China in maintaining its borders. American hegemony will not be allowed to continue.”

United States President Barack Obama responded to the news almost immediately, and announced the United States would be moving forward with a full-scale military intervention to aid the revolting territories in China, with the cooperation of the United Kingdom and Australia, as jointly announced by Prime Ministers David Cameron and Tony Abbott. “What [The Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China] are undertaking are acts in utter violation of the principle of the free self-determination of nations. They are preparing to violently and ruthlessly respond to these nations’ peaceful pleas of independence. The United States will work tirelessly to protect the rights of all people to a free and democratic process. De-escalation of this conflict is still and will continue to be our highest priority.” The White House could not be reached for any further comments.
