The opcning ccremony, which will be auendcd by dignataries, will takc place in lbe Symposium Confcrence Hall on Monday, Oct. 19. 12 a.m - 1 p.m. Should Ibe ccremony be held clsewhcre. a coach service will be providcd for participants. There will be a welcoming cocktail in the aftemoon.

The Symposium dinncr will be held 00 Wednesday 21. Tickets will be available on demand al the Secrctary's Office.

Thc closing ceremony will takc place on Thursday 22. oncc aH Workshop sessions have concluded.

DCLails of the visilS programmed lo the L10bregal and Lower Ebro Basins will be provided during the course of thc Symposium. The visit lo Lhc L10brcgal Basin will take place on Friday 23 (morning) and will be free ofcharge.

Thc day-trip lO the Tarragona Arca and Lower Ebro Basin will cosl approximatcly $50. A minimum of25 people must have regislered for the trip before Del. 10. Ir noto it will be cancelled.

Barcelona is lbe scat oC the Catalan Autonomous Government. There are many monuments and museums worthy oC nole in thc city. Barcelona has a comprchensive public transport system. Trains ron every half hour from the airport to the city centfC.
