The UN and Cambodia in the 1970’s:

• Between 1975 and 1979, UN programmes in Cambodia were suspended

Early relief assistance began in 1979 (UNICEF and the ICRC coordinated the response)

UNDP, UNHCR, WFP, UNESCO and WHO contributed to these emergency relief operations
