for most in the West, we might say that the phenomenal experience (not an ontology) of unitary being (oneness as often experienced in the East) enjoys a temporal, not an axiological, ultimacy (as would generally be ascribed to the western unitive experience of oneness) put more simply, we might say that, while it most often would be the last aspect of reality that some (mostly in the West) encounter, developmentally, that doesn't necessarily mean it's the most valuable, axiologically normative justification and affective attunement (practical knowledge plus love = wisdom) play a larger role than classical epistemic warrant (theological gnosis) in our realization of theological virtue right belonging & right desiring generally enjoy a formative primacy over right behavior & right belief this affective attunement (belonging & desiring, orthocommunio & orthopathy) come from an existential disjunctive (participatory living as if) not an epistemic conclusion (knowing that) our interfaith explorations have found that realizations of unitary and unitive being both lead to solidarity & compassion, so we might reasonably suggest that the practical consequences of praying one path vs another are often overstated as it is, the paths are not mutually exclusive but, actually, mutually reinforcing 1
