Top Shaft Assembly

Top shaft assembly consists of Topshaft with top bearing & gland sleeveand shaft enclosing tube.

Before putting shaft in enclosing tubeinstall shaft locking fixture on the

pump support.

Also install shaft lock on the shaft

Intermediate shaft assembly consistsof intermediate shaft with sleeve andshaft enclosing tube.

Bottom Shaft Assembly

This is very critical assembly in thepump assembly.

This assembly consists of bowlbearing, casing wear ring, impeller,shaft with sleeve, impeller, locknut/cap nut, cone.

Bottom Shaft Assembly

Take necessary precautions whileinstalling bowl bearing and casing wearring with bowl.

Use RFC Compound on the mating faces of the assembly.

Carry out the proper tightening andensure locking of the fasteners.

Bottom Shaft Assembly

Assemble/install bowl bearing, casing wearring.

Put bottom shaft inside the bowl andprovide necessary support to the shaft sothat enclosing tube can be assembled withthe bowl

Assemble shaft enclosing tube with the bowlflange and use torque wrench for tightening.

Pump Assembly

We have three assemblies with us.

Start lowering the pump assembly frombottom to top assembly.

After lowering of full pump assembly

install gland housing.

Pump Assembly

Thrust bearing assembly. Fill up thelubricating oil for the bearing.

Adjust Pump float.(U5-11mm,U6-6.4mm)

Install pump coupling.

Pump AssemblyMotor pedestal support.

Check coupling gap. (measure and crosscheck pump coupling height withreference from top face of motor pedestalsupport.)

Motor

Alignment (use alignment tool for locatingshaft to the pump centre.)

Pump Assembly

Couple the pump after uncouple runof the motor.

Install gland and air breather valve.

Carry out the pump coupled run andcheck pump vibrations.
