Your project will focus on spelling a word according to a theme. 4. First, pick a theme. State this in a single word that is at least (six letters, no more than fourteen). 5. Take pictures that correspond to this theme. For instance, if my word was P-L-A-I-N-F-I-E- L-D, I might take pictures around the high school. 6. Your letter pictures should match your theme! 7. Images:– cropped 11x14, 8x10– black and white– levels, curves, bright/cont– burn & dodge – ADVANCED EDITS!

• Use adjustment levels• Use shadow and highlights• Use channel mixer• Use gaussian blur• Use layer blending modes• Use lighting effects• Use gradient map

• Choose only your BEST QUALITY

– avoid camera shake – avoid clutter– different vantage points

• Each photo needs to represent a DIFFERENT LETTER

• Optional Edits:– Edit using SEPIA or SUN FADE– Edit using Photo Filter, Hue/Sat

or Color Balance– Use Digital Imaging (layer

styles, layer blending modes, text)
