Bruce’s face was photo shopped on the cover of ‘InTouch’ with the headline ‘Bruce’s Story: My Life As a Woman.” He has lipstick on, a scarf and long hair but now a new report claims that his face was actually pasted onto the face of a very famous 67-year-old actress! Do you think this was wrong?Bruce Jenner, 65, should be fuming! The reality star was on the cover of InTouch Weekly, Jan. 14, with bright red lipstick and he almost looked unrecognizable. Kris Jenner was reportedly furious when she saw the cover and we can understand why but now Page Six claims that not only is this photoshopped, but it was actually his face pasted onto 67-year-old actress, Stephanie Beacham!

News Clip: The Washington Post “Can I buy Cuban cigars now?”

POLITICS:

Page 13: UNIT 3:3... INTRODUCING THE MEDIA BY: KATRINA HICKEY.

Lighting the way for Cuban cigars in America? For cigar aficionados around the country, the warming of U.S.-Cuba relations might best be celebrated beside the smoky glow of a Cohiba. And yet stateside, that still won't be easy to do for some time.On Wednesday, the White House announced that it would reestablish ties with Cuba, which have been broken since 1961. In addition to opening a U.S. embassy in Havana, the government will ease travel restrictions for Americans to the island nation. Commercial imports of Cuban goods, however, are still frozen despite the diplomatic thaw.In 2013, the global retail value of the cigar market was more than $23 billion, according to data from Euromonitor International. And Corporación Habanos, an iconic producer of Cuban cigar brands like Cohiba, was the 18th largest cigar company in the world last year, selling more than 215 million units. For those cigars to make their way into American shops, Congress would need to lift the trade embargo on Cuba, which is codified in U.S. law and beyond the scope of the executive power that Obama exercised on Wednesday. The president did, however, say in a press conference that he hopes his actions will lead to "a serious debate about lifting the embargo," and that "increased commerce is good for Americans and Cubans."

Before Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, books were one of the most powerful ways to transmit information and stories. They still are, and [hopefully] always will be. Some books are bound to cause controversy and stir up trouble. Again, such is the power of the written word.

September 21 through 27 marks the American Library Association's annual Banned Books Week. It's a celebration of freedom — freedom to read, freedom from censorship, and freedom to share unique ideas that may not jibe with everyone.

In honor of the occasion, we're taking a look at 17 commonly banned or challenged books. Some of them will surprise you. (Can you guess why someone would find Green Eggs and Ham contestable?) Others, you can probably predict. And, fun fact, putting this list together unearthed a trove of Cliff's Note-esque study guides to Gossip Girl. They're a silly reminder that there's always deeper meaning to be found in the most surprising of places.

Ahead, see which beloved works continue to top the ALA's list of the most frequently banned books. Read them. Love them. And yes, challenge them — but not for the reasons on this list. Question them because that's what good literature should make you do.

THE NEW YORK TIMES : OPINION PAGESThe Cruel Waste of America’s Tech Talent

SAN FRANCISCO — WHEN audiences watch the movie “Spare Parts” in theaters this month, they will see the kind of Hollywood ending that has eluded the immigration debate in Congress. The film is based on my reporting about four young immigrants who built an underwater robot. In the movie, which closely reflects the true story, the students enter the nation’s pre-eminent robotics competition, an event sponsored by NASA and the Navy. They win widespread recognition for their accomplishments and, when the movie ends in 2004, their future is bright.Unfortunately, that’s not how the story really ends. All four students were born in Mexico and were brought across the border illegally as children. Though they grew up in Arizona and viewed themselves as Americans, the law did not. They lived with the daily threat of deportation. http://www.nytimes.com/2015/01/16/opinion/the-cruel-waste-of-americas-

THE WORMS THAT INVADE YOUR BRAIN

The larvae can encyst in the brain or somewhere else," says Bennett. The consequences of these cysts can be tissue damage, blindness, paralysis or even death. By sequencing the worm's genes, Bennett hoped to understand the inner workings of the worms to aid future diagnosis and treatment.

(CNN)] Once you consume them, they can move throughout your body -- your eyes, your tissues and most commonly your brain. They leave doctors puzzled in their wake as they migrate and settle to feed on the body they're invading; a classic parasite, but this one can get into your head."It had moved from one side of the brain to the other ... very few things move in the brain," says Dr. Effrossyni Gkrania-Klotsas about a British man found to have a tapeworm moving inside his brain in 2013. This form of tapeworm had never been seen before in the United Kingdom.
