One of the most basic forms of animati on that has been used for many years.

Every fl ipbook has a diff erent frame on each page of the book.

When you fl ip through them you can see the story one page aft er another like it is being played at a faster rate.

When this type of animati on is done properly it can look as realisti c as a video.

Stop moti on requires you to take a photo for every frame of the animati on.

This is a photography based technique.

It takes a long ti me to create these types of animati on because it requires hundreds of photograph.

This type of animati on shows the diff erence that occurs in a scene over a period of ti me.

Cel animati on signaled the beginning of changes in traditi onal animati on.

Each part of a frame in cel animati on is drawn on a separate cel then moved independently.

This meant drawings didn’t have to be repeated when you needed part of a scene again in future.
