Ruth and Naomi

God made you for a reason.

God has a special plan for

each one of us. We can trust

that God’s special plan for

our life will be wonderful

adventure. Everyone say, “God made

me for a reason!”

When we read about God’s

people in the Bible, we can

see how He made each of

them for a reason. The Bible

tells about a woman named

Ruth. A sad thing happened

to her. Her husband died.

Ruth and Naomi

Ruth and Naomi had to

travel far away to find a

new home. God made Ruth

for reason. She didn’t know

what it was yet, but God

gave her special. She was

kind and true to her

friends. God made Ruth that

way. It was part of His plan.

Even though Ruth didn’t

know what would happen

next, she trusted God.

God made you for a reason,

too. Maybe God made you kind

like Ruth. Maybe God gave

Ruth and Boaz

Boaz saw that Ruth was a

good woman who loved God

so he asked Ruth to marry

him. God made Ruth for a

reason and He had a special

plan for her life. God’s

plans for Ruth were better

than anything she could

have imagined! She became

the grandmother of a

famous king—King David!

Maybe Ruth didn’t do

anything exciting, but God

thought she was special.

God’s plan for her was to

David and Goliath

One day, the army was in a

war, but all the soldier

were afraid to fight

because the other nation

had a giant on their side!

This giant named Goliath

shouted mean things about

David’s nation. Worse than

that, Goliath shouted mean

things about God! David

couldn't stand for someone

to say bad things about God.

David told the king that he

would go fight Goliath.

David knew that God would

But the only weapons David

had was a sling that threw

rocks at the animals that

scared his sheep. But David

faced the giant with

courage because he knew

God was with him. David put

a rock in his sling and

started swinging it as fast

as he could. The rock flew

through the air and hit

Goliath right in the head!

The mean giant was dead!

God’s plan for David took him

from being a shepherd to

stop the story
