• Precipitation- water that falls to Earth’s surface as rain, sleet, hail, or snow.
• Nor’easters- strong storms that bring high winds, heavy snows, and freezing cold.– Occur in Winter

• Northwestern Region – coldest area in state–High elevations have cooler
summers and colder winters.• Summer temperatures – 75 degrees
• Winter temperatures – 26 degrees

• Southern Region- milder climate–Ocean brings cool breezes in the
summer and warm air in the winter.–Warmest area in the state–Cape May-
• Winter temperatures do not go below 34 degrees
