Follow the instructions and make a mobile

Each child will need:

A set of the mobile download sheets 2 sheets of thin card

A pair of scissors

Some thread, ribbon or string

Coloured pens or pencils

The class will need:

Some glue

Hole punches

Glue the download sheets to the thin card.Make sure they cover the back of the wholepage in glue so it sticks properly and parts donot come loose when the children cut out themobile parts.

Colour in the animals and farmhouse thencarefully cut them out. Glue the two barn

images together (image side out).Use the hole punch to make holes for thethread to go through. Use the circles on theanimals and the barn as a guide. Assist thechildren as required (if the children in yourclass are very young, you may want to do thehole punching yourself).

Cut 8 lengths of thread or ribbon. Thread oneend of the thread or ribbon through the holeon the animal and tie, being careful not to tie ittoo tight and damage the animal pictures. Dothe same with the other end in the holes in thebottom of the barn. Tie the animals at differentheights to hang below the mobile.

Cut a shorter piece of thread or string andthread it through the hole in the top of thebarn. Tie the ends together and use it to hangthe mobile up.

Suggestion:the children either take theirmobile home straight away or you hang themup in the classroom for a few days rst.
