AR Zone students sit and read independently while completing a graphic organizer or taking notes on what they are reading and prepare for the AR quizzes. The AR quiz confirms the total number of words read. A total of

450,000 words makes a student a Word Master and 2,000,000 words read is a Royal Reader. There are classroom celebrations throughout the year

as 100,000 word milestones are met.

Have you noticed how much bad language there is in the movies, in videos,

and in music? Back in the olden days, when your parents and teachers were

teenagers, you never heard bad language on TV or on the radio or in the movies.

It was considered offensive. In the other words, hearing a lot of cursing and bad

language upset most people.

Now listen to these ancient words of wisdom:

Speech is the mirror of the soul; as a man speaks , so is he.

In other words, the words we speak are a reflection of who we are. It makes you

think, doesn’t it?

Today, if you hear bad language, think about what the words are really saying

about the person using them. And if you catch yourself using bad language, ask

yourself this: Am I the words I speak?

Swinging into a healthy school year!

Flu season is upon us! Remember to cover your cough and wash your hands. Parents, it’s very important to get your children immunized.

Remember to keep hydrated, eat a healthy breakfast to help with concentration and performance in the classroom. Head Lice Symptoms: Although itching may be a sign of a lice infestation, most often individuals are asymptomatic. The presence of nits may be a sign that there is or has been an active infestation. You can get more information about head lice prevention or treatment at www.medicinenet.com

Attention Parents and Guardians: We are in need of dedicated individuals to join the Wolf Volunteer Pack! This is a great

opportunity to get involved with our campus and support our students. So if you’re interested in assisting with events, helping out on campus, planning fundraisers, and more, this is the

committee for you! Are you Interested?

Please fill out the volunteer form and send back with your student or turn it in to our front office.
