NWhy set up a new UNICEF group?

“Starting a new UNICEF group is a fantastic way to get involved with UNICEF and make a difference to the lives of children all over the world.  It’s also a great way of meeting new people in your area.”

Helen Aikman,

Fundraising Initiatives Officer (FIT Officer), UNICEF UK

RE

N Why set up a new UNICEF group?

No experience is necessary to set up a local UNICEF group. All we ask is that you are enthusiastic and passionate about UNICEF’s work and can volunteer some of your time. Your effort can result in big improvements to children’s lives. Our groups are very important to UNICEF and raised an impressive £160,000 in 2007.

N OUR EXPERIENCE AT DIA

With absolutely no help from me there is a student of my school who has set up a UNICEF book on facebook and has got some 111 students who have become group members from school itself.

They have just had their first meeting and I am yet to hear about the outcome.
