1. Craftsmen and craftswomen are scattered throughout the country,
2. The artisan sector had been relegated as marginaleconomy with hardly any development capacity due to the production characteristics of artisans,
3. Inertia and lack of innovation causes many of the craftsto remain stagnant,

markets.

Some initiatives to support the Craft sector
1. Pilot experimental center to support artisans and small entrepreneurs, toward the innovation and development of new products;
2. Incorporate technologies to harmonize productive processes;
3. Research of raw materials and the proper use of natural resources to preserve environment;
4. Link the work of craftsmen to fashion and interior design;
5. Promotion and diffusion of design as well as appropriate technology;
6. Develop campaigns to place crafts in the Colombians` top of mind
