Why use Prang® Washable Art Markers?

1. Have a student cut out the center of one sheet of tagboard, leaving a 2” frame; have him set the center aside.

2. Instruct him to spread glue around the edges of the frame; then stretch plastic wrap across the frame and press it in place. Allow the frame to dry.

3. Next, have him paint the second tagboard sheet with watercolors to resemble the ocean (minus ocean critters).

4. On the center tagboard section that was set aside, have him use the Prang® Washable Art Markers, Prang® Metallic Art Markers, or Prang® Soy Crayons to draw assorted ocean critters and cut them out. (If students have studied specific types of ocean life, encourage them to find pictures of the creatures so they can draw them accurately.)

5. Have the student glue the critters to the painted sheet (leaving a 2” area around the edges) and then use the craft materials to complete the underwater scene.

6. Finally, have him place the frame (wrap-side down) atop the underwater scene, staple around the edges, and trim any excess plastic wrap.
