Understanding Regulatory and Warning Signs
Regulatory Signs
• Regulates and controls the movement of traffic.
• Tells drivers what to do and what not to do.
• The colors are usually red, white, black,
• Red-allowed to do
• Black-No allowed to do
Stop signs
• You must come to a complete stop for 3 full seconds.
• You must stop behind the white stop line!
Yield signs
• You must slow down and check oncoming traffic behind you.
*You may have to come to a complete stop!
Speed limit Signs
• Show you the maximum or fastest speed allowed on the roadway.
• Expressways may post minimum
