• Higher the number the older the date
• A.D = After Death / C.E. = Common Era– Any time after the year zero

What Century are we in? • Another tricky History trap is that Centuries
are always expressed as 1 ahead of the actual numerical year– This is because the year 1 AD is considered the
beginning of the 1st Century. – For example: Always take out the zeros
