Under the Spotlight Arcadians Theatre Group Newsletter Feb 2016
We’ve got a great 2016 show season ahead, so get your auditioning and / or audience hats ready to be entertained. A big congratulations to Patricia Green and her wonderful cast and crew of Jerry’s Girls what a delightful production show-‐casing the wonderful talents of our members and a great way to finish our 2015 season. AGM – It’s that time again, The Arcadians Theatre Group’s 2016 Annual General Meeting will be on Mar 6 (it’s a Sunday afternoon) 3.30pm for 4pm start. If you’re thinking of getting more involved this is your opportunity to do it. Arcadians will provided drinks and nibbles after the meeting so come along and catch up with your friends. We were very saddened to hear that Rhoda Boyce’s daughter Christine Bailey passed away very suddenly just after Christmas; also Anne-‐Marie Fanning’s mother. Members, Barry Kershaw and Corel Garling, have also recently passed away and we send our thoughts to all these families at this time. Remember you can buy tickets to our shows online at www.arcadians.org.au or call Pauline on 4284 8348

The 39 Steps opens Feb 19th for 3 weekends The 39 Steps is a very funny recreation of Alfred Hitchcock’s classic thriller. Handsome hero Richard Hannay meets a mysterious woman, who reveals a plot to smuggle military secrets out of the country. That night, she is found murdered in his apartment. With the police and international spies hot on his heels, Hannay races to solve the mystery of the man with the missing finger. His heart-‐racing adventures involve death-‐defying escapes from planes, trains and automobiles with the beautiful blonde bombshell Pamela by his side. For this comedy thriller think, Alfred Hitchcock meets Monty Python! The production opens Friday 19th February for three weekends and closes on Saturday 5th March.
