Objective:

According the guidelines and the commitment of the Minister of Energy, Mines, Water and Environment, Dr Abdelkader Amara, during his speech at the launch of the national road map for the development of geological and geothematic mapping 2015-2025, the Direction of Geology organizes «The geological days of Morocco», from 10th to 12th May 2016 in the Ministry of Energy, Mines, Water and Environment, in Rabat, Kingdom of Morocco.

These geological days, emblematic event in the history of the Geological Survey of Morocco, is a moment of gathering and exchange between national and international geologists, engineers, university and academic researchers, operators and partners of the Ministry of Energy, Mines, Water and Environment.

To support the national strategy of the mining sector development, whose dynamic is included of the Moroccan government program, this edition of Geological days of Morocco, will be particularly oriented towards geology applied on mineral exploration.

Themes:

The topics to be discussed are:

Geoscience (A):

• Studies and fundamental research Geosciences : stratigraphy, structural geology, magmatism, metamorphism, sedimentary rocks, geochemistry, geophysics, hydrogeology, etc.;

• Projects of geological and geothematical infrastructures.

Economic geoscience (B):

• Studies and research on: – Mineral exploration; – Mineral resources:

Evolution of concepts in metallogeny; Mineralization in their geodynamic settings.

• Geomaterials; • Geoheritage: identification, assessment and saving;

• Natural hazards and infrastructure safety.

Information geoscience (C):

• Geoscientists documentation; • Geoscientific Database; • Geographic information system.

Presentation languages:

• French; • English; • Arabic.

The abstracts must be sent before 15 March 2016 according to the standards below:

Title: Calibri 14, bold, lowercase Name surname1 and Name surname2: Calibri 12

Establishment, e-mail: Calibri 10

The abstracts must be written in English, French or Arabic, in 2 pages, Calibri font 13 points; 1.25 line spacing, margins 2.5 cm on each side, tab at the beginning of each new paragraph, justified left and right.

Oral papers: Timing: 15 minutes.

Posters : The size of posters should not exceed the A0 size (84.1 x 118.9 cm)
