As Executive Director, I was the leader, manager, and administrator of the organization, and as such, was responsible for planning, directing, organizing, developing, and administering all activities. During my tenure, the number of volunteers increased 33%, membership donors increased 50%, programs increased 44%, the number of clients served increased 75%, and revenues and budget increased 120%. In 2 ½ years, I successfully obtained $127,500 in grants, $95,000 of which was new money for the organization. Purchased HORACE KELLY AND ASSOCIATES in 1989; changed name to The Customer Center; grew company from 6 employees to 20 full time and 40 part time employees; brought all production functions in-house (previously subcontracted); increased client base by 200%; increased revenues by 53% (to $1.8 million). Company was well known in several industries (agribusiness, animal health, healthcare, and advertising) as a company that offered quality and service in marketing research consulting. Clients were Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies in key industries. Sold company in June 1996.
