ONE OPPORTUNITY

ONE COMMUNITY

ONE EDUCATION

ONE NATION

ONE FUTURE

ONE LEGACY

ONE VISION

ONE TICKET

ONE SPIRIT

ONE FIGHT

ONE DRIVE

ONE GIFT

Every strong brand must evolve. The fundraising arm of Oregon State Athletics began as the Beaver Club. That label transitioned to the Beaver Athletic Student Fund and then a little over two years ago, Our Beaver Nation was born. So, what exactly is Our Beaver Nation? It’s simple.

It’s the 1 place that allows you to have an impact on our student-athletes. It’s the 1 way to provide them an OPPORTUN1TY, to be a part of our TRAD1TION, to CHANGE THEIR L1VES. Your next question is probably how to get involved. That’s even easier, it’s through this book. This book is the 1 place for giving a donation and purchasing your season tickets for the 2015 OSU Football season. Be bold.

UNITE WITH OUR BEAVER NATION

Page 3: UN1TE Campaign Book

THIS ONE IS BIGGER THAN US.

IT’S FOR THE NATION.

A HARD-WORKINGNATION THAT IS

IT ISN’T FOR EVERYONE. IT’S ONLY FOR THE DRIVEN.

PROUD IN WHERE WE COME FROM. PRIDE IN WHERE WE TAKE IT.

THIS ONE IS ONLY FOR US.

IT’S ONLY FORBEAVER NATION.

LIKE THIS ISN’T GIVEN. IT’S EARNED.

BY THE MANY BEFORE US.

THIS ONE IS OURS, TO LEAD ON OUR RESPECTIVE

FIELDS OF COMPETITION. OURS TO PAY FORWARD AND MAKE

THE WHOLE STRONGER.

ONE OPPORTUNITY. NOT TO BE TAKEN LIGHTLY, BUT TO BE TAKEN

LOUD, STRONG AND PROUD.

NEARLY 150 YEARS OF TRADITION RIDING ON OUR SHOULDERS.

“Thank you for giving me an opportunity to come to the

West Coast, to experience Oregon, to experience what

Beaver Nation is all about, and building friends and

memories that will last a life time. You have given me

the opportunity to better myself as a man, giving me a

great chance to get an EDUCAT1ON, and to also allow

me to do what I love, which is play football.”

Storm Woods

You’ve given me the opportunity to better myself as a man and do

what I love - play football.

“The sense of community surrounding this program

is truly amazing. I am from the area, but that doesn’t

really matter because our COMMUN1TY is there for you

whether you come from the state of Oregon or from

elsewhere. You can see all of the young kids and even

though they don’t personally know me, they are still here

every night for us and for our team. It’s just amazing.”

“I had been up here many times with my dad (Gary

Payton, NBA Hall of Fame) and the question I get

the most is, ‘How influential was your dad in your

decision to come here?’ He just said make sure you’re

comfortable and it’s a good decision for wherever you

decide to go. Oregon State was that decision. I feel

at home here. It has a great TRAD1TION. It feels like

everyone loves and cares about me here.”

“My experience at Oregon State will better prepare me

for Physical Therapy school. Once I graduate, it will allow

me to be extremely qualified as a physical therapist. I

wanted to go to a school that was strong in volleyball and

ACADEM1CS, especially in the area of health sciences.

Oregon State was a great fit for both of these.”

“Having a scholarship has been helpful throughout

my college career. Students can end up having a lot

of debt by the time they graduate. It was nice to have

the financial burden reduced through the help of my

scholarship, so I had the OPPORTUN1TY to pursue my

athletic and academic goals at Oregon State.”

The Valley Football Center game plan is our highest priority in

athletics fundraising and is intended to enhance Oregon State

Football in the area of recruiting, competitiveness, and functionality.

An additional 55,000 square feet will be added to the existing Valley

Football Center with the equipment room growing from 4,000 sq. ft.

to 13,000 sq. ft., training facility from 4,000 sq. ft. to 8,000 sq. ft.,

and the new locker room will double in size.

WHYTE TRACK AND FIELD CENTERThis project includes the installation of grandstands and restrooms, a

press box, scoreboard, a hammer throw area, athlete staging areas and

other amenities required to host significant meets including the Pac-12

Championships, as well as endow a men’s program.

STUDENT-ATHLETE LEADERSHIP INITIATIVEOur vision is to identify unique interests and skills of student-

athletes and determine initial professional direction and course

for success. We strive to connect student-athletes to industry

leaders, innovators and business professionals that otherwise

would not have been accessible, which provides student-athletes

with real world experiences that will benefit them both personally

and professionally. This program prepares student-athletes to leave

Oregon State as desirable employees, who are ready to be leaders

in the workforce and life.

INDIVIDUAL SPORT GIVINGOregon State has 17 varsity sports, all of which have desires

that extend beyond the funding capabilities of the department.

Gifts to individual teams assist in providing the support needed to

compete at the highest level. Individual sport giving is the perfect

way to feel a deeper connection with the OSU program most

meaningful to you.

ENDOWMENTSAn endowment commitment is both a gift now and for the future.

The principal is continually reinvested and a percentage of the

accrued interest is used annually for scholarship and program

support. Our goal is to secure the financial future of Oregon State

Athletics through the use of endowed funds.

PLANNED GIVINGPlanned gifts include bequests, trusts, gift annuities and other gift

vehicles. Securities, real estate, CDs and retirement assets are

examples. Often, combining the right asset with the right gift vehicle

is the key to meeting your financial and charitable goals.
