GenYouth is the abbreviation for the Generation Youth. Our mission is to empower Youth by cultivating and engraving entrepreneurship trait within them by establishing closer connections between business and industry players with the Youth and / or vice-versa. CITrA is the acronym for the Centre for Internship Training and Academic enrichment. CITrA operates on a curricular engagement model as a one stop centre for internship-industry-faculty and holistic student development. Besides conducting teaching and learning on essential courses such as Ethics, Philosophy, Entrepreneurship and STEM, CITrA is also responsible for Internship Development and Placement for both local and international students. It is CITrA’s vision to be a world-class centre to support the vision of Universiti Malaya to achieve excellence in unleashing the potential of every student. UM Virtual Internship day 2020 on 13th July 2020 is a collaborative initiative between UM CITrA and GenYouth to allow students to meet many different industries on a virtual platform and to gain valuable insights and experiences needed to prepare them for a competitive edge. This internship day will provide means to assist students and the industry in finding the right match that is mutually beneficial as we move into the new norm.

8:45am – 9:00am - UM Virtual Internship Day’s briefing by Eldrick Koh, CEO of GenYouth 9:00am – 3:30pm (Webbiner for Students) - Welcome speech by Professor Dr. Kamila Ghazali, Provost/ Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic & International) - Keynote 1: Resume Building & Interview Skills by Mr Anil (KPMG) - Keynote 2: Getting the Most Out of Your Internship by Dr Rahmat Shazi (ShaziInnovation) - Keynote 3: Jobs of The Future by Mr Chua Kuang Eu (Jobstreet.com Malaysia)

* Virtual Exhibition - E-meet from 8:30am to 5:30pm Students are able to e-meet the companies’ representatives on preferred online meeting platform during the events. Companies are required to stay-by either one of the meeting platform Zoom/ MicrosoftTeam/ GoogleMeet/ GoToMeeting during the time frame.

to the employers when you apply jobs.

get ready on the event day

On the “UM Virtual Internship Day 2020” 13th July 2020 (8.30am - 5.30pm).

Please visit (https://um.prowider.org/) and login with your

username and password. You are required to e-meet and click APPLY JOB for at least 10 companies. Select the company that

you want to meet by click on the e-meet icon under the logo, it will bring you to the employer’s online-meeting platform to e-

meet the company’s representative/HR personnel.

Note: You MUST e-meet and click APPLY JOB for minimum 10 companies, the system will generate the attendance report and submit to CITrA

Once you have e-meet and applied for 10 companies, you may go to event landing page to download your e-certificate.

If you would like to schedule an interview / confirm your placement with the company, please login to ProWider again, look for the company and Click the job position, this will lead you to the job preview page,

click “APPLY JOB” if you want to have your placement in that company. The company will receive an email notification for your application.

The company either schedule another interview session or straight away confirm you by click on the “CONFIRMED” button after they viewed your profile which you have filled in earlier.

Once you have confirmed, please upload your internship letter and the company will upload your offer letter. You will get notify via email as well.

The system also help to capture your attendance during your placement. The attendance report will then submit to university.
