ENVIRONMENT FRIENDLY ULTRA-WEATHERPROOF, DIRT RESISTANT FLUORO BASED SOLUTION

DAIKIN has developed an innovative range of fluoro based waterborne and solvent borne resins, likely to be

completed with a hydrophilic surface modifier. These solutions, having proven track records, are dedicated to

various applications such as Architecture, Transportation, Heavy Duty, Marine, Aerospace and more.

Even in the most severe environmental conditions, the formulated coating preserves a corrosion free, clean

and glossy coating appearance, enabled by its inherent hydrophobicity, and improved by hydrophilic

modification.

Climate change, UV radiation, corrosion, abrasion, moisture and

dirt are always unwanted problems. In the industry, construction

or marine market, the resistance requirements for the products

surfaces are as extreme as they are varied.

There are a lot of coatings in the market today that could be used

but rare are the coatings that could offer the best sophisticated

specification-based surfaces protection.

Provides excellent dirt pick up properties and resistance to corrosion

thanks to its chlorine free composition.

A low VOC water based version is available to meet the most

demanding regulations

Suitable on metal, plastic, it provides durability to the most sensitive

substrates.

It’s also suitable for glass, ceramics if the primer is used.

Standard Acrylic Urethane and PVDF based type performances are

out passed

Formulated coating can be operated at room temperature for onsite

the most severe environmental conditions and maintains an attractive outward appearance for long periods of

HOW DOES IT COMPARE TO BENCHMARK?

1. NEW FLUORO SOLVENT BASED VARNISH

WHY IT IS AN INNOVATION?

The typical PTFE (tetra fluoro ethylene) provide excellent weatherability, chemical and heat resistance.

However it has a poor solvent solubility and need a high temperature bake.

The new fluoro solvent base resin, Zeffle GK, is a modified fluoro chain that conserve the based properties of

PTFE and improves its weaknesses.

2. NEW FLUORO WATER BASED VARNISH

THE NEW FLUORO WATER BASED RESIN IS A PVDF BASE POLYMER

To help formulators, Daikin has developed Zeffle SE, a water coating base, easily applicable on field or in

factory, without compromise on durability performance.

As seen on the graph below, being water base does not necessary mean trading-off performance.

Compared to Acrylic emulsion, Zeffle SE enables the coating to retain gloss over time.
