Ultra-fine wire winding is film insulated copper magnet wire of AWG 45 (.0018) to AWG60 (.000309) that is wound with specialized winding and

dereeling equipment capable of handling extremely small and delicate wire. These wires can be as small as 1/10th the diameter of a human hair,

allowing for noteworthy miniaturization potential in charging and receiving devices for a number of industries.

14644 compliant. It can be divided into two sections each performing different classification levels (for example one area at 100,000 and the second

at 1,000.) Precision’s clean room is scalable to individual products and can handle the entire production process from winding to assembly to

component integration.

Though many providers work with ultra-fine wire in the 45 AWG to 55 AWG range, Precision is one of a select few with the technical expertise and

specialized machinery required to work with 58 AWG ultra-fine wire. The ability to use ultra-ultra fine 58 AWG wire provides important benefits for design

engineers. 58 AWG ultra-fine wire generates up to 50% space savings when compared to the use of 52 AWG wire and up to 30% space savings when

compared to the use of 55 AWG wire. These real estate savings allow for the creation of smaller medical navigation technologies and provide engineers

with significantly enhanced options in the design of new navigation technologies.

Single axis coil providing multi-dimensional sensing

Precision’s angular winding configuration features wire wound up to a 55° angle to the coil axis which improves signal intensity for optimal sensing

performance. This unique configuration greatly simplifies design processes. This unique configuration adds a second dimension that enhances the

design process. Previously, miniature coils required the addition of a secondary element that would allow sensing a secondary position that is now

available with a single access coil. Now the real-estate and cost associated with this extra element are no longer required as the wire itself is already

wound at an angle to the coil axis. This eliminates the need for an additional element and also ensures superior performance as less components

provide fewer areas for error. Thanks to the angular wire, multidimensional sensing is possible from a single axis coil.

Precision offers a full range of electrical tests for optimal quality and performance including: dielectric, resistance, insulation resistance and inductance.

Dialectric tests a range of 0-10 kVAC/DC and resistance tests ranges from micro ohms to mega ohms. Precision also provides insulation resistance testing

and measures inductance from low frequency to Megahertz range.

Special fixtures ensure accurate readings and eliminate environmental interference. This is applicable when dealing with a frequency range starting with 1

megahertz and/or inductance level in the nanohenries range.

A broad range of termination and connection options are available including surface mount PCB, wire to wire and wire to cable.
