Stays at kro & hotel rate and super rate

When you book your stay, please let us know that you wish to book a stay at kro & hotel rate or super rate. You are welcome to make a reservation with the Danske Kroer & Hoteller secretariat on +45 75 64 87 00 (open Monday-Friday from 08.30am-4.00pm) or online via krohotel.dk. It is not possible to book stays directly at the kro/hotel.

The rate only applies to single rooms if the reservation also includes a double/family room. The offers are not applicable for full-board stays at a fixed, advertised rate.

Children aged 0-4 stay free of charge in their parents’ beds (DKK 40/EUR 5 per child will, however, be charged for breakfast). Cots are available free of charge if you bring your own bed linen. At Danske Kroer & Hoteller, you are considered a child until you turn 15. An adult in an extra bed is on request.

Booking of rooms is always on request. The offer is subject to sold out periods, as only a limited number of rooms are available at kro & hotel rate and super rate. Some kros/hotels do not offer stays at super rate. Please refer to the table under each kro/hotel on pages 12-105.

At some of our kros and hotels, a surcharge is payable in addition to the kro & hotel rate and super rate. The surcharge is per room per night. Please refer to the table under each kro/hotel on pages 12-105. The total rate will be given when the booking is made. The total rate is payable directly to the kro/hotel.

Check-in/late arrival

If you arrive later than 6pm without prior notification, there is a risk that the room will be given to another guest. Always remember to inform the kro/hotel if you will be arriving later than 6pm.

Cancellations

Cancellations can be made until 6pm on the day before your arrival.

Checks for the payment of kro & hotel rates and super rates

When booking your stay, please let us know that you will be paying by check. Unused checks are refund-able at the place of purchase within the period of validity. A small fee may be charged.

Please note that many of our travel agencies/agents replace the checks with travel vouchers. Please also note that checks are not avail-able for single rooms. The offers are not applicable for full-board stays at a fixed, advertised rate.

Booking of three or more nights at super rate

The super rate can be booked for three or more nights via the Danske Kroer & Hoteller secretariat, online via krohotel.dk and through most tourist information offi ces and travel agencies. If you choose this method, you are no longer required to buy the actual check as you pay the total amount directly to the kro/hotel.

Surcharge

At some of our kros and hotels, a surcharge is payable in addition to the kro & hotel check and super check. The surcharge is per room per night. Please refer to the table

under each kro/hotel on pages 12-105. The total rate will be given when the booking is made. The surcharge is payable directly to the kro/hotel.

8 Hotel Thinggaardpage 16 Hotel Thinggaard is ideally situated in the beautiful county of Thy in North Jutland, between the fjord and the North Sea, so you are within easy distance of most things.

84 Fårevejle Golf Hotelpage 52 Fårevejle Golf Hotel is surrounded by beautiful nature, at the foot of the enormous Vejrhøj barrow in West Zea-land. The wonderful sandy beaches at Sejerøbugten bay are child-friendly, and the many cosy harbours are ideal for a stroll.

95 Kragenæs Kropage 55 Kragenæs Kro lies surrounded by wild and beautiful scenery in a charming village on the north coast of Lolland. The newly refurbished kro is known as the “Gem of Smålandshavet” with good reason.

181 Hotel Skandiapage 71 Hotel Skandia is a small, family-run hotel in the heart of Helsingør. It is so cosy here that the same family has visited us three times a year for almost 16 years. They have fallen for the hotel’s unique atmosphere.

Nørre Vissing Kro, which dates back to 1801, is situated near hills, forests and lakes. The kro was newly renovated in 2008 with rooms in 3 categories, most of which have their own garden, balcony or small terrace. The style is personal and untraditional with a flair for detail. The florist of the house creates a wealth of interesting arrangements with the natural materials of the season. In the light garden room with the lavender res-taurant, you can watch the chefs at work in the open kitchen or enjoy the crackling fire in the winter. Less than a five-minute drive from the Vejle Fjord inlet, you will find this charming roadside kro. In the old days the kro was a farm, and as the farmhouse was close to the road, travellers would often knock to ask for a mug of cold well water which they got, of course. In the manor town Gram in South Jutland, you will find a beautiful old kro in which the Schrøder family has spoiled its guests for nearly a century. The burning stove from 1855 is still in the restaurant, and although the place has been carefully renovated and tastefully mixes the new with the old, the atmosphere remains. The landlady and landlord tend to the guests, and the cuisine upholds proud culinary traditions. From the kro, there is access to the manor park, which comprises a herb garden and wonderful nature to explore.

FACTSThe kro is situated in the manor town of Gram. It was built in 1855, and over the years it has been renovated so as to unite the old and the new. A small countryside hotel with a view of the Flensborg Fjord and the golf course. Back in 1923, the kro was a family farm. Today, it has been tastefully restored. The atmosphere is rustic with bare rafters in some of the rooms and light colours.
