GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. All contracts of hire shall be deemed toincorporate these terms and conditions.No variation or addition to these conditionsis effective unless it is agreed, in writing,by a Director of the Company

2. The hire prices quoted are for the duration ofthe exhibition or event for which they are hiredup to a maximum of 2 weeks, and excludeVAT, which will be added at the rate ruling atthe date of invoice.

i) The company reserves the right to apply asurcharge of 20% of the hire cost for anyorders placed within one week of delivery toan event or exhibition.

3. The liabilities of the hirer commence at thetime the hired articles are delivered to the siteof the event or exhibition for which they arehired, or are collected from our premises, andcontinue until they are collected from the siteby the Company or returned to our premises.During this time, the hirer will:

i) Keep, at the hirer’s own expense, the saidhired articles in good and substantial repairand condition, and in the event of any articlebeing damaged beyond repair or lost by fire,theft or any other cause whatsoever, will paythe Company the full replacement value ofthe hired articles plus the original hirecharge. In the event of any article beingdamaged and requiring repair, the hirer willpay the full cost of such repair.

ii) Keep the hired articles fully insured to their fullreplacement value against all risks. Hirers arereminded that the period of the insurance shallinclude at least two days prior to the opening ofthe event or exhibition for which they are hiredand at least two days after its conclusion.Goods are only hired on this condition.

4. It is the duty of the hirer to provide at suchevent or exhibition, a duly authorisedrepresentative to accept the furnishings and togive a written receipt. If the hirer fails to providefor this, he will not be permitted to disputesubsequently the facts of the delivery and bedeemed to have accepted the delivery andthese conditions.

5. Hirers are reminded that all equipment shouldbe emptied of personal belongings, at theconclusion of the event or exhibition as noresponsibility can be accepted for their safecustody.

6. At the discretion of the Company, a charge ofnot less than 25% of the quoted hire chargemay be made in respect of cancelled orders.If such cancellation is made after the goodshave been delivered to the site, the Companyreserves the right to invoice the full hirecharge.

7. Orders received and executed at an event orexhibition may be subject to an extra handlingcharge.

8. No liability shall attach to the Company for:i) Any delay or failure to deliver due to

circumstances which are outside its control.ii) Loss or damage howsoever caused to

customer’s own goods.iii) Any dilapidation charges for fixing of floor

coverings to exhibition hall floors. Hirers arereminded that laid only sale prices do notinclude taking up at the end of the event orexhibition and that venues make a charge forthe removal of double sided tape.

iv) Any damage or injury caused by the misuseof the Company’s property.

9. The Company expressly reserves the right atits absolute discretion to suspend or cancelany services (whether in whole or in part)under its contract with the hirer in any casewhere the hirer is in breach of that contractor in breach of any credit arrangements,whether the same be under that contract orany other contract or arrangement betweenthe hirer and the Company.

10. The Company reserves the right to makesubstitutes without prior warning for furniturethat may be unavailable.

11. i) We do not exclude our liability in respect of

death or personal injury to any party resultingfrom negligence of ourselves, our servants oragents (but not of our sub-contractors, if any).

ii) We do not exclude our liability for loss of,or damage to, the exhibits or property of thecustomer where this has directly been causedby our negligence, providing that any claim inthis respect is made in writing within 14 days ofthe problem having been brought to our notice.

iii) Any claim from (b) shall be limited to theamount of any loss or diminution in value ofthe goods, and not in respect of anyconsequential costs incurred.

12. Complaints should be submitted in writing duringthe open period of the event or exhibition. Thiswill ensure that they are fully investigated on site.

13. For exhibitions that the company is committedto attending in the UK, but excludingN. Ireland, our delivery and collection costsare included in the hire charge. For otherexhibitions and events or private hirerequirements, delivery and collection will becharged at the prevailing transport rates. Withexhibitions that we are committed to attendingon mainland Europe, Eire or Northern Ireland,our prices will be subject to a 20% surchargeto offset the additional costs involved.
