UGI Utilities, Inc. – Electric Customer Account Number Lookup Mechanism for Suppliers

1. Start at the UGI home page, www.ugi.com. Choose “Electric” from the menu bar.

2. Select “Customer Choice” from the drop-down menu under Electric or from the navigation list along the left margin of the page.

3. Click the link for Customer Account Number Lookup, located near the bottom of the screen.

4. The Customer Account Number Lookup tool is also accessible from the UGI Utilities Energy Management website. Select UGI Utilities – Electric from the http://gasmngmt.ugi.com/ home page.



5. Select Customer Lookup from the Procedures menu option and then click on the application.

6. Enter the User name login and password provided for your use. Note that suppliers need to request individual logins for each user of this application.



7. Click the box verifying your use of the account access tool complies with PUC Order M-2013-2355751, EDC Customer Account Number Access Mechanism for EGSs, entered July 17, 2013.

8. Required fields are highlighted with a red asterisk (*). Use the pull-down list to select the photo ID type. If the ID type is not listed, select “Other” and fill in the ID type in the field to the right. Add the first and last name of the person on the ID. The EGS is responsible for assuring that they are doing business with an authorized representative for the account.

9. The Search Criteria section is for the account name, service address, and 5-digit postal code. Click the “Search” button.

10. An error message will display if the verification information is incomplete or the search criteria you’ve entered does not match that of any UGI-Electric customers.

11. The information icons ( ) have field-specific tips if you need help editing any of the Verification and Search Criteria fields. All of the Search Criteria fields must match our UGI customer database to successfully retrieve the customer account number. After making changes, click the Search button to refresh the search results.

12. When a match is found, search results including the UGI-Electric account number and the customer’s name, address, and rate service will display in the Search Results section at the bottom of the screen.

13. For multiple exact matches, the service accounts will be displayed along with lighting and water heating accounts if applicable. Use the scroll bar on the right side of the screen if needed to view the entire Search Results section.

14. Click the Reset button to begin a new search for the account number of a different UGI-Electric customer (returns to Step 3) or simply edit the Verification and Search Criteria fields with the new information.

15. Don’t forget to log out when you’re done using the account number access mechanism.
