The club is a dynamic online portal that’s free to join for all UK undergraduates, offering members access to valuable career resources like interview advice, job adverts, skills seminars and interaction with employers.

In early 2015, CIMA updated the UK version of its Undergraduate Club with the aim of providing additional career support to university students and helping them prepare for the world of work as they approach graduation.

A key factor in ongoing student engagement is the club’s gamification element. Members gain points every time they carry out activities like posting in the forum, accessing exclusive resources or referring a friend. The more points they earn, the higher their membership status climbs (from ‘Level 1’ to ‘Gold Club’), and they can win prizes each time they complete a level.

Prizes range from cinema tickets and a T.M. Lewin shirt all the way up to a CV writing service and £200 STA Travel vouchers.

Levels are unlocked through a points system, each level requires 250 point to complete and unlock the next. Once you

complete a level, you will recieve a prize (detailed below). Points are awarded by earning badges. Once the four main

levels are unlocked, you will become a ‘Gold Club’ member and get exclusive club benefits and rewards. To read full

Prizes are awarded upon completion of each level. Once you have reached ‘Gold Club’ status, you will recieve top

priviliges for maintaining your status.

Points are awarded for earning badges. The more badges you earn, the more points you get towards your next level.

Once you are a ‘Gold Club’ member, you will have a new set of badges to earn to keep your status.

Getting started: how to join and fi ll in your profi leTo register for free as an employer on CIMA’s Undergraduate Club, visit undergradclub.cimaglobal.com,

select the ‘Employers’ tab and click ‘Register Now!’.

Once you’ve fi lled in the form, click ‘Register Now’. All registrations are moderated and once a member of the CIMA

team has approved your membership, you’ll receive a confi rmation email welcoming you to the Undergraduate Club.

The next step is to fi ll in your company profi le. Your profi le will show your company name, website (plus dedicated

graduate website), sector and current vacancies.There is space for a company description and the option to upload supporting videos and brochures. You can also see

how many views your profi le has received so far.

• On-campus activity – our campus managers attend university lectures, presentations and careers fairs

• University communications – Facebook, Twitter, emails and online banners targeting students
